I never tried this, because upon F8 my address book is already open... First error is "Stack overflow", but clicking OK opens the address book. Trying it again then, The Bat! gets closed "because of an illegal operation". I have no such menu item, not in the "message" button menu list. In the address book all works fine: both, when I select "file" -"new message" or by right clicking on any entry in it. So, I cannot confirm your mistake here.
