Maybe the should qualify this a bit - "few", "some", "all" bugs for the

Of course, you can decide to do whatever you want to but it puzzles me
that you would choose virtual folders over IMAP issues/new filtering
system as the most important area for the next version...

I just made a CVF with some 200 unread messages inside. Then went to
folder/mark all messages read and the counter on the folder tree was
reset, but the messages weren't actually marked as read... Upon manual
marking them as read, the counter in the folder tree goes below zero.
Wow, looks fancy to have -3 messages :P. Anyone confirm?

v2.05b16 issues

2004-04-09 Thread Peter Ouwehand
Hello TBBETA,

Some first issues encountered after upgrading from b14 to b16:

- Most of my address books are no longer available from the toolbar icon.
- No address books are available from the address picker on the To: etc
  lines
- Virtual folders )with reference to a VF which uses fast-search for
unread TB msgs and has auto-refresh enabled):
  - Auto-refresh does not seem to be functioning (it did here in b14)
  - Using refresh from the popup shows something like 4 unread msgs out
of 0 msgs in the VF (all original msgs are marked read)

Now first going to try to get my address books back . . .

Deleting the virtual folders in 14 allows 16 to start for me.

New virtual folders created in 16 show up as damaged with compress and
reindex

OK I found a dirty workaround. I deleted all virtual folders and the
complete MAIL folder on my hard disk. I started TB! again and it works
perfectly. I lose my mails - thats doesn't matter. ;-)))

Unfortunately, this defaults to the Sent folder for that account
first. When a "hit" isn't found, you are prompted to search across
all folders.

Reading the original post, it sounded like Eddie was storing all sent
mail in a folder he specified (not leaving it in default Sent Mail),
although I could be making that assumption in error.

Eddie Castelli wrote:
> to store all Outgoing eMail in an Out Folder.

While his message would likely still be found, TB is probably going to
have to search through a bunch of folders first.

So if the reply was sent from a different account - or if using Common
Folders (where there isn't an assigned account, and no assigned Sent
Items folder), you're now talking about a full search across all
accounts. I ran into this numerous times when I used Common Folders.
No being able to quickly get to a reply was one of the reasons I moved
back to having folders under each account.

Perhaps this has changed in v2? It would be nice to be able to select
the folder for TB to search.

Except for the usual breakdown of the Connection Centre on first use,
this version works ok so far... (CC always breaks down here on first
use of a new EXE and has to be exited with ++ - I got
used to it. As long as it works afterwards... ;-) )

I cannot confirm this. I have tried starting TB! with splash screen and

The Bat! v2.05 Beta/16 is now available

2004-04-09 Thread Stefan Tanurkov
Hello All,

The Bat! v2.05 Beta/16 is now available from
http://www.ritlabs.com/en/tbbeta/

Here is a short list of changes:

[+] VF subsystem changed for support of cascading VFs
[+] Refresh VF from popup menu
[+] Common VFolder name decoration can be changed in
Options/Preferences/Global
[-] (#0002772) Base folder(s) uncheckable
[-] VFolder refresh message list has some glitches
[-] (#0002782) String "OK to delete the virtual folder xx?" is not
available for translation
[-] (#0002773) Manual creation of common folders
[-] Some minor fixes

It looks like the new filtering won't be ready before the deadline and
we don't want to introduce a crucial change without proper testing, so
this thing is now on hold for the new Beta cycle... :-(
