Moving messages
Hello Tbudl (and cross-posting to TBBETA, as that's where the developers read - I think), I just did my quarterly clean-up, which involves moving all company messages from the previous quarter to an archive folder. Today, this was about 14,000 messages with just over 2.5GB. In previous TB! versions (up to v4) this took a long time, during which TB! is blocked. The Moving messages dialog was up front and did not allow me to do anything within TB!. Today (with v5) it was different. There was no dialog and I thought nothing was happening, but my CPU-busy dial and my Memory-in-use dial (some Windows sidebar gadgets) said something was being done. Hm I thought, let's give it some time. I went to other accounts within TB! and read emails, all without problem. At one time I saw that the newly-created archive folder now showed almost 14,000 messages. I checked and yes, those were the messages from Q3 that I had moved. I very much appreciate that we can now continue working while TB! is moving messages. At this number of message and amount of data, it does take a few minutes, which I had to sit idle in front of the computer in previous versions. I think that positive things have to be said sometimes too: Well done, Ritlabs. -- Cheers, Thomas. http://thomas.fernandez.hat-gar-keine-homepage.de/ Message reply created with The Bat! 5.3.2 under Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 3 Current beta is 5.3.2.0 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

SOME GIF files do not display correctly (note the right-bottom) This appears correctly in other email programs. (File attached) Confirmations anyone? Attachment is shown properly here as moving GIF. If you try to put GIF file as embedded graphics in HTML message only first frame of the GIF is shown. Don't know if other e-mail clients allows you to use GIF to be embedded in HTML message. No way I can check it at the moment thou. -- Best Regards, RS (FEDARA) The Bat! 5.1.6.2 Windows 7 x64 Professional (7601 Service Pack 1) POP3 accounts (x5) Monday, October 8, 2012 (21:53 ; GMT+8) Current beta is 5.3.2.0 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
html viewer
Hi all, these days I switched from v5.0.36.2 to v5.2.2 Release. The html viewer now behaves a little differently than before: - A specific message that always had rendering difficulties with the old version is now displayed fine. - Another message that used to be displayed fine previously is now not being displayed at all (white screen only without any content.) This is not that big a deal to me since I rarely use this view mode, but it might be interesting to be looked into regardless. If you go to OPTIONS / PREFERENCES / VIEWER EDITOR / HTML EDITOR, there is the option of letting the BAT control HTML viewing or let the system do it. Try them both to see which works best for you. IMAP - Endless loop when dragging attachments to filesystem when messages are not fully synced
Hello all, Situation: A mail folder is set to only download message headers and text, but not the entire message (i.e. no attachments). Message attachments are displayed in the attachments pane, not as icon. When you try to save message attachments by dragging from a mail stored remotely and the folder you are currently working with does NOT sync the entire message, the question whether to download the entire message gets displayed again and again.
