Indenting

I've only just upgraded to v2, so forgive me if this has been
mentioned.

If I highlight a block of text in the new message window (I'm creating
plain text messages, not HTML) and press TAB I'm sure that it used to
indent the selected text but now it doesn't.

Have I misremembered or has it just stopped working?

Lack of Response

2004-08-31 Thread shemming
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Given the huge amount of feedback to the change in version number that
there has been here over the last couple of days I'm both surprised
and dismayed at the lack of any sort of official comment from RitLabs.
The occasional snipe at a user's comments by Maxim doesn't really
count I'm afraid.

Surely there can be no justification for this high-handed mistreatment
of those who have, lets face it, done no small amount of work to see a
working and worthwhile release of at least v2.13!

To make promises over and over again about what we're going to get for
our money whilst at the same time just cherry picking at the bugs that
need fixing shows a degree of contempt for its users that I think
RitLabs cannot afford to show if they wish to maintain the good-will,
help and support of the many people who actively contribute to this
list.

In a world of software giants who can afford to please who they choose
we have probably all come to expect this kind of treatment from
organisations for whom the loss of goodwill from a few hundred people
means little or nothing, but if those who really feel as strongly
about this treatment by RitLabs as has been suggested here actually do
walk then The Powers That Be at RitLabs have done themselves a great
deal of harm.

For what it's worth, I will not be upgrading unless there is a *major*
concession to those who have spend so much time and effort working on
the beta program.

Another app I used to use recorded the location of all messages that

Anyone think this is worth adding to the wish list?

Possible bug?

2004-11-09 Thread shemming
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

I've been having a few problems with the Exchange Server here;
occasionally it just refuses to relay mail out of the building. When
this is happening and I try and send a message I get a dialog box
showing a message something like ..

Message has not been sent. Server reply - 5.7.1 Unable to relay for
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

However, if I've just dropped the message in the outbox and the system
does a timed fetch/send there is no external indication that the
message has not been sent (although the log is correctly updated). The
danger of this is that if there is a problem with the server I might
not know about it unless I create a message and send it immediately.

I appreciate that it may be difficult to confirm this one without
purposely throwing a spanner at your server.

1. The installation should make a better job of setting the BayesIt
directory.
2. BayesIt itself should let the user know that its working directory
doesn't exist when it starts; ATM it doesn't complain it just doesn't
work.

Obviously I've now changed the BayesIt config and all is well.

3) Alexis, 125 lbs, 5'9, 34b, 19 miles away, available Jan 22-28th
4) Rachel, 123 lbs, 5'7, 36c, 12 miles away, available most week nights (

All 4 women are waiting to speak with you live & have photos. Webcam's are
available for all 4.

The body of each one is identical to every other one. Each one is
manually marked as Junk by me. After being trained on this message
something like 150 times, BayesIt /still/ doesn't mark it as spam.

Is there any point in continually training this program or should I
just abandon it?

I can't really comment, but I think that this goes back a long way,
possibly to a time before the kind of manipulation you're talking
about was possible in TB!

> I wonder if people have other uses - besides macros and Ignore

I dunno. My needs are fairly simple and can generally be managed with
a few filters and the odd QT. I'm sure that TB! would benefit from
some form of script engine (can you say 'WSH'?) but I imagine the list
of things that should be in the product /before/ script support is
fairly long.
