Ok, then let a PopUp become active and warn the user about it.
Or even write it above the Fields.

Thats close to my Bug, only a little different.

I go (edit new MSG)+ MENUE/Message/Send_Delayed/User_defined

In the lower box Check Time i set creation time back (-) 2 hours
I try to set the Send Time, but it flips back to the creation time
always.

When i check Custom day Custom Time in box Delay Info above, i
can set the Send Time.

But after the creation Time is equal the sending time.

Moin, Gleason!

As with any software enterprise, RIT's focus must be on what sells
new software. Fixing broken things makes current users happy, but
they aren't buying new software. The bad news for Imap users is that
POP3 is still far and away what most people use. And everybody
sees slick icons. Don't kid yourself, appearance makes a lot of
 difference to many people.

Just picked this from Roelof's signature:

If you can't make it good, make it LOOK good. - B Gates

If learning from Bill Gates means winning, RITLabs seems to be on the
right track! ;-)

Thanks to Roelof for that great quotation. :-)

No, they're breeding them in Moldova.

Let's not confuse parties here: RIT is the one who have promised to
deliver, and so far they haven't. Until they do, there is no reason to
do a song and dance.

On the other hand, this time for once they do have my support in
delaying the release: I'd rather have a mature, tested, downright
working IMAP system this time, instead of another half-baked one that
doesn't give anyone anything. If someone is actually working on it -
as has been stated more than once these days - and if this takes its
time, so be it.

This is probably a difference between pop and imap. Attachment glyphs
always were iffy for me, still are. This is true for most imap clients. And
programmers shouldn't remove a feature because it seems unuseful.
Somebody will want it, and in ways the programmer never imagined.

for it ;-)

Counting for Attachments does not display count if the Attachment is
part.txt like AVG Antivirus signs Messages which where scanned.
Maybe the count does not work for any .txt Files?

Confirmed, that the Attachment count does only start to work, when
message list gets the focus.

 Hello Rick,

Also the Attachments glyph now shows the NUMBER of attachments

Not until you focus on the Message List pane for the first time and not
 for all messages. See attachment.

Anyway, I wish this new feature was optional. I don't like it neither
with the default attachment glyph nor with the one from my Yellowish
Icons set. Plus, I don't find it useful for anything.

It's not a feature I would have put on the wish list but I am finding it useful
already. You are correct - it does not seem to work in virtual folders.

Hello Rick,

R You are correct - it does not seem to work in virtual folders.

It works OK here in virtual folders, but as far as I am able to check, only
on messages received since about 26 September 2008!!! One of the messages
in the folder does have to be in focus before the icon number activates, in
some cases it seems that the activated message has to have been received
shortly after the one containing the attachment. All very strange!

I don´t care actually who is doing what. It is Ritlabs i am critising
and not a single person.
I know artwork is not done by software developers (usually) and
designers don´t do software dev.

What i am saying is that RITLABS has been promissing better, improved
and working IMAP since they have put imap into TB!.
Churning out new versions every couple of months is fine, especially to
have these tested by the beta list - which is why i joined the list in
the first place.

BUT what is not fine is to ignore - for years - the bug reports (and not
only on the aspect of imap).

Convince me and others that RITLABS is actually doing something about
this. Give us a road map with proper content and uphold this road map.
Why work on a broad front ? Work on one MAJOR problem and get it fixed -
BEFORE you do silly aditions that have no functionality - just nice for
the eyes (and yes i also like the look and feel of TB).

It is a virtual folder that is not working correctly anyway. It points to
several out boxes and the one that is usually full of parked and or delayed

I have never received an answer to this issue. However to make a long story

As with any software enterprise, RIT's focus must be on what sells new software.
Fixing broken things makes current users happy, but they aren't buying new
software. The bad news for Imap users is that POP3 is still far and away what
most people use. And everybody sees slick icons. Don't kid yourself,
appearance
makes a lot of difference to many people.
