If you want to use the character '%' you have to use the macro '%%' This way your string have to look like this: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=This%%20is%%20a%%20test It's the same as in regular expresions: '\' introduces a special character like '\n' tells: "look for newline" instead of look for '\' followed by 'n' ... to search for '\n' as string you have to use '\\n' ... in other words: you must escape the escape character :-) HTH Pit -- Regards Peter Palmreuthermailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (The Bat! v1.54 Beta/7 on Windows NT 5.0 Build 2195 Service Pack 2) Like many of the finer things in life, sex often comes with a side of fries. -- __ Archives : http://tbbeta.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

To indicate a literal percent sign, they must be doubled: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=This%%20is%%20a%%20test which works perfectly. - -- Cheers -- .\\arck D.
