Hello Tony!

On Saturday, October 30, 2004, 5:22 AM, you wrote:

TB> At the risk of sounding ignorant, how do I get there please?

Tony, go here: https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/main_page.php

If you only wish to see what Wishes have been placed so far, then from
the Main page, select View Issues and click on it.

Then in the top right-hand corner of View Issues, there's a drop-down
menu, Switch. In that menu, select "The Bat Wishes" and then click on
the word "SWitch" to the right of the drop-down menu.

If you wish to place a wish, go back to the Main page,

https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/main_page.php

(You don't have to use the URL again, of course, just click on "Main")

Then:

1) Create an account, if you don't already have one.
2) Click on "Report Issue"
3) In the drop-down menu Select Project/Choose Project click on "The
   Bat Wishes"
4) Below this field, double-click the rectangular box with the text
"Select Project." That part seems to be important--the double-click.
Took me a lot of trial and error to discover that. Plus, having
"Select Project" as the wording two times confused me. It's the lower
one which should be double-clicked to get to a page where one can put
a Wish.

To add a note to someone else's wish, you have to have an Account and
be logged in, also.

If I've told more than you need to know, please excuse me.

One thing that warms my heart about you, Tony, is that you are so
knowledgeable and such a long-time user of The Bat!, and yet you are
always self-confident in asking questions about things you don't
understand or have missed finding out for other reasons.

:star: to you!

Go to the bug tracker (issue tracker) and switch from bugs to wishes
(drop-down box at the top right). Then report your wish the same way
you would report a bug.

Hi TBBeta,

getting curious after all these messages with problems at closing time
(anybody knowing this LP?) I downloaded 3.0.2.2 and have to say it
starts up so quickly I can't just blink once.

The shutdown problem didn't occurred for me yet. But I can see the
message pane emptying as some other told. But then TB! closed
normally. (Well, maybe a Athlon 64 3200+ is worth something here :-))

But the first time I closed TB! I got an AV. After that I always
looked at the CC if there is a task active and closed it only if there
is no task (well, only one task for IMAP to be exact). That works
well.

The AV is attached.

And I just found that, after reverting to the previous beta, the same
happened. So it's not directly related to .2.2 but hs been there
before. It also looks as though a process within the CC module is the
culprit.

Here too.. tried to exit 3 times and all 3 hung. Although it
disappeared from the applications portion of Task Manager, it was
still in the processes portion. I had to manually kill it.
When I restarted it after the kill, it was slower that normal

It is not happening for me every time. But it will freeze--or did in
v. 3.2.0.1--when closed in minimized to System Tray position as well as
with the Main window in focus.

I have closed TB! 4 times since beginning to run v. 3.2.0.2. Three
times it required the Task Manager to close.

Just now, it closed--with the Main window showing on the screen and
using Windows' "X" close button--quite normally, and incidentally,
very fast.

This is a difficult bug to reproduce. Might indeed be WinXP, Win2000,
WinNT related. Has anyone had the "freeze-on-exit" experience with
Win98 or Win95 or WinME?

This is not correct. Indeed, it has many commands of GMP, but not all.
Gaijin told, that XMP is written with Delphi 7, GMP in C++.
Because of Delphi 7 it's smaller, but has more features.

Unfortunately I have to confirm: I exited, everything looked fine.
When I tried to start TB anew, nothing happened - three or four times.
I went for a restart of XP. And now TB's main window popped up and I
was informed that some tasks were still active ...

Confirmed here. But also happened in v. 3.0.2.1 as you know, Peter,
since you put a confirming note there earlier, on October 24. For
which I do thank you, and all the others confirming this behavior, at

I am sorry to have to confirm that.

It starts faster but is not willing to leave me anymore ;-)
After restarting twice I have had another message from my firewall,
tb.exe wants to connect to the internet. Like Dierk Haasis mentioned
before in another thread concerning an older version.

Confirmed here also.  Freezes on exit.  In my case the pop up that compresses folders on exit seems to work ok, then TB just freezes.  Task manager shows no CPU being used for TB so it is just waiting on something... I waited 60 seconds...
