Hello All,

The Bat! 3.0.9.6 Return (pre-beta) is now available from:

Here is a short list of minor changes:
[-] UI : AV on starting Bat from different directory
[*] UI : Manual re-threading
[*] VM : Expand all threads <-> new message list
[-] Other: External mailto: links handling
[*] UI : 'Test filters' in message popup
[-] UI : QSearch "Set filter" used incorrect string
[-] UI : 'Continue with others' highlight
[-] UI : Checkbox Resort folder after editing filters wasn't working
[-] UI : System hotkey "Minimize to tray"
[-] NFS: AV under some filter conditions
[-] UI : and colour group

PS: Reset button doesn't work - it is known issue.

with all the other toolbars. It works 100% as predicted with no

Sorry but no, they still work fine. I know bugs are easier to track if
they are consistent to everyone but I'm having no trouble with any of the
 toolbars whatsoever.

I close TB, restarted it, moved them about all over the place, closed them
opened them again, moved them here, there and everywhere but they're fine.

I even rebooted the PC and tried but they still work perfect with no
errors at all and they do exactly as I tell them to do and stay where I
 put them.

Incidentally, I still can't shutdown or reboot the PC while TB! is running
but that's a very minor detail.

Toshiba Satellite M60 Laptop, XP Home SP2, what more can I say? They work
 fine!

Not sure if this'll help but, when I updated, I put *ALL* the new files

This is going to be very useful. Will there be icons added for all
choices? Will all choices be allowed, even though they do not apply to
the toolbar you are adding to.

There is no Apply or OK button in here. You have to use the X in the

I tried adding a command to the end of the menu bar, but it added it

- buttons "Delete" and "Rename" doesn't work for own toolbar

- when I open Customisation dialog from specific object's context
menu (toolbar, menu), container of this object should be select
automatically.

- There is no "OK" or "Save" button in this dialog, many users will
miss it

- Available items section must be redesigned, only correct items
related to selected container must be displayed

Yep. There are two reasons to rethread, either somebody replies to a
thread with a non-threading client or somebody replies with a
threading client and thinks that altering the subject is sufficient
for starting a new thread.
Actually the latter bothers me more than the first, so that's what I

Well, like we say in Spain "Not everything that shines is gold". Last
night I was quite depressed. But then, this morning I remembered another
popular saying: "We will cross the river when we get to the bridge". So,
I decided to wait those two months or so and see what happens between

Great! Simple and easy! Thanks so much.

I have a problem though. As now threading by reference _also_ threads by
subject (and erroneously so some times), it is not easy to see which
messages are not properly threaded. So I can't really take advantage af
this excellent and long time desired new feature.

I really think that threading by Reference+Subject should be optional.

Anyway, great work!

So far, I haven't even tried the new beta (or was it sub-post-pre-beta?)
but I must say I really appreciate this one! Thanks a bunch!

But, I do have one suggestion. I can easily see myself loosing messages
by accidentally dragging'n'dropping them on the wrong thread. If I by
accident move a message to another folder, I can always get it back by
browsing deleted messages, but when re-threading a message, I suppose
that won't be an option anymore. What would be needed is an undo
functionality. I've seen the need for this for a long time, especially
for users not aware of ways to manually undo (browsing deleted messages
for example) and now seems to be a good time suggesting it.

So, 9Val, any comments on the probability of an undo feature in the
not-so-distant-future? If it requires to much work, drop the idea, there
are other more important things to address, but if it doesn't... Please,
at least consider it!

Here's where mine is different. I just upgraded from v.3.02.10 to
v3.0.9.6. I did not use any of the pre-betas or anything, so I didn't

As a new pair of eyes on the pre-beta, it's looking great! Good job

Good two. But I think some thing should be done before adding new
others.

- Correct sorting of messages, now it does it in reverse order than the
last stable.

- Width of the folder names are not the same of the last stable and
the folder names in the other folder tabs.

- Context menu of the message list don't updated correctly the flags.
The Message menu in main menu it's ok.

OK, now I'm a partially happy camper. I'm on a list where one of the

a message from her (let's call it a 'rogue' message) onto the message

'unlinked' from the 'rogue'.

I had expected that rethreading would keep the lower level together.

tbuser.def removed, all def files updated and always when I change

I loaded the latest version for testing this afternoon and ran into
problems. I cannot find the file tbuser.def in the directory. So, if
it is not there, any suggestion on why I am still having problems.

find the way to solve this, create a blank tbuser.def file, the "stream
write errors" will be gone.

Hello Stefan Dorscht,

Getting closer to it...

Can anybody try the following:

Type e.g. "Stefan" + Enter in Quick Search.
You`ll see (only) my mails.
Delete "Stefan" with backspace from the Quick Search field.
Change to any folder.
My result: Error message "Format '%s' is invalid or incompatible with
argument"

A search related problem?

Any confirmation???
