I quote you !

I dream that one day I will use TheBat! will for PIM too.
I substituted MS Office Outlook for messaging in 2003 !

Okay, that I didn't test. However also the "Add/Remove Program"
problem is fixed.

Nope. Since I am a user from the "beginning" - well at least V1, I
always bought the new key when a new version was released. So my key
for V3 was issued on Nov 4 2004. So what I did was ordering a new one
yesterday and I received it and installed it properly.

One thing I noticed. For V3 I ordered the key via element5, for v2 and
v1 via cifnet. At element5 the value was shown in Euro while cifnet
only shows Dollar-Prices.

Additional to that it would be great to include calndaring function
e.g. via WebDAV. So it would be possible to synchronize Calendars from
Google or Zimbra-Mail-Server. This functionality plus the perfectly
working IMAP would make The Bat a real business application.

Better handling of the "upgrade-downgrade-upgrade" scheme meant that
if you install 4.1 and then 4.0 and then 4.1 back and so on, than you
won't loose the messages due to the new format of the index, it's not
related to the "Add/Remove Program" entries.

You already have a registration key dated December 2007, didn't it
work? This key was for The Bat! v3 & v4.

Confirmed. Yesterday night I upgraded from 4.0.39.35 to 4.1.5 and in
the software installation list only the 4.1.5 appears. Perfect.

Also registration was working fine for the 4.1.5. Order process took
about 4 hours until I received my new key. Choosing the mail and
selecting registering in the menu let automatically add register code
to the program.

I also checked the HTML-rendering and I am happy that with the new
version the mail is not jumping to beginning when a new picture was
loaded. Finally reading HTML is possible without scrolling down where
I have been already... ;)

Lat but not least I have had a quick look on IMAP. And I really do
have the feeling that it is working much more smooth. With my short
test I didn't detect that processes are hanging or not updating
anymore. All folders were updated. Loading of messages was fast. So
after the first quick test I think that this implementation really is
usable. :)

So good work. And I wish you all a happy Christmas.

Similar observation here:
I took the MSI installer, TB showed the initial splashscreen and hung up.
No entry in TaskManager to terminate the hanging app. Closing it via red
[X] worked fine. Second attempt to start TB was successful.
