running bat on a intel mac

2008-02-01 Thread Timothy Casten

Thanks for all the advice
However I really do not want to infect my new intel 24 inch imac with
windows.

So after some searching i decided to try a program called crossover.
I installed it and then installed the bat and then did a restore from
the backup on my pc and it runs seamless. Fantastic application. The
Bat runs without a hitch and Im a happy camper now.

Again thanks for the help.

I can understand that!

TC so Im on my daughters mac.

I usually sit in front of my computer while typing. Must be a difficult
position, and, being totally unaware of your weight and furthermore, not
specialized in recent Apple models, would dare to think the
machine wasn't designed for such use!

VirtualBox is just like VMWare - you install an OS in it, and then
run programs in the OS in the virtual machine. VMWare Fusion and
Parallels might be better suited for this, since they allow
integration of Windows applications with the OS X desktop, but they
aren't free.

I've just got it up and running too ( although I'm sending this from my
Windows machine) but can't get Antispam Sniper to work. I can load it
alright but, when I go to preferences/antispam and select the installed
antispamsniper programme, it just hangs and I have to close down
Crossover.
