For the initials in the mail I use; 'Qstyle';
%IF:%SETPATTREGEXP=(?im-s)^X-Mailer\:.*(Bat!|Becky|Gnus|slrn).*$%-
%REGEXPBLINDMATCH=%HEADERS%- %SUBPATT=1=:NONE:

As you can see, I already have it in the reply template, but it doesn't seem to work?

Thanks,

TBTECH Mission Statement

2002-06-30 Thread Marck D Pearlstone

-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-

Greetings Tech Listers,

This is your monthly message from the moderation team to remind you
of the primary purpose of this discussion list.

To review the list rules, follow the link at the end of this message.

..
  TBTECH Mission statement
..
The TBTECH list has been set up for the purpose of discussing The Bat!
and related issues that are of a more technical nature than is catered
for in the TBUDL list. Such topics as Regular Expression, RFC content
and compliance, plug-in programming, Spell-checker semantics, 3rd
party software, ISP policy, Internet protocols and anything else that
could bore a beginner into leaving the TBUDL!

Simply send messages to [EMAIL PROTECTED] to send it to the
whole list.

To leave this list, send a message to the auto-responder at
[EMAIL PROTECTED]. You *must* submit the unsub
request from the email address at which you receive list traffic. The
list server will send you a confirmation message. You will not have
left the list until you have responded by forwarding the confirmation
message to [EMAIL PROTECTED].

If you wish to receive the list digest instead of individual mails,
please send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the text..
  set tbtech digest
..in the first line message BODY.

Here's a quick link for it .. just double click here and send the
message that is generated to begin receiving the list as a digest:

mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?BODY=set%20tbtech%20digest

If you ever wish to change back to standard message mode, please send
mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the text..
  unset tbtech digest
..in the first line message BODY.

mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?BODY=unset%20tbtech%20digest

..
It would probably be a good idea for you to set up a folder to keep
TBTECH messages in. If you do this, the next most useful thing to have
in place is an automatic filter to move mail from your inbox into your
TBTECH folder.

Set up a filter for incoming mail which looks for
StringsLocationPresence
Reply-to: TBTECH Kludges Yes

..
  The TBUDL Rogues Gallery
..
There is a TBUDL Rogues Gallery, letting you put a face to the name.
The gallery can be viewed at
http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/rogues.html

Anyone else wishing to appear in the gallery, here's how:

Send your picture by e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]. Please
provide it as a 120x144 jpeg image to reduce Marck's workload.

For those of you who do not know how or do not have an image editing
program to do this, send the image to Marck and he'll do it (if a bit
reluctantly).

Make sure you include your name and the e-mail address you want to
use, as you want it to appear on the page.

Re: Attribution Line in Replies and Forwarded Messages etc.

2002-06-30 Thread Januk Aggarwal

Hello Chris,

On Sunday, June 30, 2002 at 12:01 GMT +0100, aliens probed Chris
Weaven [CW] and found:

CW Hi Januk,

On %QINCLUDE=Date %QINCLUDE=Time2, which was %ODATE=, %-
 d, at hh:nn where I am, %OFROMFNAME %OFROMLNAME %QINCLUDE=Qstyle
wrote;

CW I'd like to add in the initials of the writer after the name, but
CW only if their client accepts it. Is this possible?

Yes, use this fragment to give attribution line initials or nothing
depending on the client:

%IF:%SETPATTREGEXP=(?im-s)^X-Mailer\:.*(Bat!|Becky|Gnus|slrn).*$%-
REGEXPBLINDMATCH=%HEADERS%-
%SUBPATT=1:[%QINCLUDE='Initials']

Where Initials is the name of the initials generation template you
use. There are two in current circulation with recent threads in both
TBTECH and TBUDL giving reference to them.

CW As you can see, I already have it in the reply template, but it
CW doesn't seem to work?

What you posted was a code fragment that was poorly formatted. If
that's the way it was in your template, then it would cause problems.
If the formatting was simply an error when copying and pasting, then
we'd need to take a closer look at the templates.

Thanks for writing,
 Januk Aggarwal

OK, I'm weird! But I'm saving up to become eccentric.

Re[4]: where to get a S/MIME certification??

2002-06-30 Thread Roy Chen

I have installed it. but I have some question that:

I use [EMAIL PROTECTED] to apply a certification and intalled it. but it
seems I can only use it to write to [EMAIL PROTECTED] only which means I can
only use S/MIME to write to myself. When I write to other address, it
will report absect key pair.

So who can tell me, after I installed it, how to use it? If I send a
mail signed and encrypted to others, how can others dencrype it to
view the content.
