By the way, you'd probably want to change the BCCList macro.

Look at the headers of the message you are replying to, and you'll see
the quotation marks there. My templates merely separate the provided
list into a vertical list.

MAU> Is that avoidable?

Yes. Just change which subpatterns you output in the print_recipient2
template. The following should do the trick.

=[Begin print_recipient2]=
%REM='
  Recipient List reformating routine.
  recipient2 = recursive engine QT

I don't know of it, but I'm pretty sure they'd get the information
they need quite readily, if they write to the developers.

What I meant with this question (I could have been more specific, I know!):

Is there a text file available from RITLabs in which AV-software developers
can find the details they need to know in order to be able to make an
installer / BAV-file for the "integration" of their product in The Bat?

Yes, they're made by the company that produces the Anti-Virus
software.

MP> If so, is there a text with instructions available?

Usually no.

Installation of the plug-in is usually by simply hitting the 'Add'
button in the TB! plug-in dialog and selecting 'external plug-in'.
You can then browse to where you placed the .bav file and hit OK.
The plug-in is installed. You can then configure it via the dialog.

DrWeb's plug-in has recently come with its own installer that you run
after exiting TB!. Again the installation is very straight forward,
and it's configured via the TB! anti-virus plug-in dialog.

I don't know about this one.

Well, you can tell them that the plugin will provide TB! users with
special abilities including:

- Quarantining infected messages to a special TB! quarantine folder.

- Deleting infected attachments from infected messages upon receipt.

- Curing infected attachments upon receipt of infected messages.

- auto-notifying senders of infected messages that you've received
an infected message from their address.

- being able to check attachments before you execute them or save
them to disk.

- being able to check outgoing messages.

- the plug-in could also provide an sound alert upon receipt of
infected messages.

Hello Tech-Bats,

Not being a programmer or "technician", this might be/seem a silly question:
By whom are BAV-files being made? By the company that makes the Anti-virus
software?
If so, is there a text with instructions available?
And does anyone know if it takes a lot of time to make such a BAV-file?

Just wanted to know if there are arguments to convince Trend Micro to provide
a BAV-file for PC-Cillin? :-)

Question about Januk's print template

2003-03-04 Thread Miguel A. Urech
Hello all,

I am using Januk's template to print a vertical list described in:

http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/Library.html#recipient+list+-indented

It works very well and I have adopted it for my business mail reply
template also

Basically, all I have done is change the actual print template:

=[Begin print]=
-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
From: %FromName <%FromAddr>
Date: %ODateEn %OTimeLongEn %IF:'%TOLIST'<>'':'
  To: %COMMENT="%TOLIST; "%QINCLUDE="print_recipient"' %IF:'%CCLIST'<>'':'
  Cc: %COMMENT="%CCLIST; "%QINCLUDE="print_recipient"' %IF:'%BCCLIST'<>'':'
 Bcc: %COMMENT="%BCCLIST; "%QINCLUDE="print_recipient"'
 Subject: %Subj
-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

%text

-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
=[ End print]=

To a reply template as follows changing TOLIST to OTOLIST, etc.

,- [ ]
| %Cursor
|
| -Original Message-
|From: %OFromName <%OFromAddr>
|Date: %ODateEn %OTimeLongEn %IF:'%OTOLIST'<>'':'
| To: %COMMENT="%OTOLIST; "%QINCLUDE="print_recipient"' %IF:'%OCCLIST'<>'':'
| Cc: %COMMENT="%OCCLIST; "%QINCLUDE="print_recipient"' %IF:'%BCCLIST'<>'':'
| Bcc: %COMMENT="%BCCLIST; "%QINCLUDE="print_recipient"'
| Subject: %Subj
|
| %TEXT
`-

It works great, this would be an example:

,- [ ]
| -Original Message-
|From: Anil Subramanya <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
|Date: Tuesday, March 4, 2003 4:56:14 AM
| To: "Helen Rosa" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
| "Miguel A. Urech" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
| Cc: "Mick Armstrong" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
| "Isabella Blueml" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
| "Mike Dunne" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
| Subject: Manuals translations
`-

Not that it is very important but, my question is, why do the names
in To: and Cc: appear in between quotation marks? Is that avoidable?

TIA.
