The actions are kill or ignore - does kill remove the message from the server without downloading it? Does ignore leave it there undeleted? Given a (hopefully) small fraction of spam, why is this preferred over simply sending the msg to a spam folder, and catching those false positives? Else I'm going to report it to the head of abuse dep in our NOC. To the original question. When you're connected to the internet you've got an IP that is unique. It's assigned to a provider (query the ARIN, APNIC, RIPE etc. for it). You can at 99,9% use the SMTP of this provider w/o things like POP-before-SMTP or SMTP AUTH even if your company/university doesnt want you to do it. If you have a sample Internet IP address (not RFC1918-hosts!) then simply (under DOS) enter "nslookup yourIP". this will give you the reverse name. Then you dig it into the MX seeker (nslookup, then querytype=MX) and it tells you your SMTP server :) If this sounds too complicated, feel free to drop me an offlist eMail and I'll gladly try to helpy you to find the SMTP. Hi Ming-Li, snipped ML Since there's no way to edit a received message in TB, let alone ML doing it automatically, the only realistic way to do this is to ML export the message and do it with an editor, then you may import it ML back or save it as a text file. The whole process (including ML importing back into TB) could be automated with a better editor, if ML the part you want to save can be formulized. I don't want to edit the message, I would like to take a single sentence from the message and put into the reply to that message. On a quick glance it seemed that RE's could have done the job, but it seems that they would take some time to learn. I didn't want to invest the time unless someone who knew said that's where the answer lied. Also I'm having a problem using the "Replied Messages" sorting rule. Can someone give me a quick "fer instance"? ML A common misunderstanding is to think of a Replied Message filter as ML one for your replies. It's not. It's for the messages to which you ML replied. Example? Well, I don't use it. But for people who regularly ML purge old mail, it might be useful for them to park those messages ML so they won't be deleted. Can you explain to me what is coloured message? Just highlighted message with another colour? I was looking for "colour group" in help file but with no success. How can I colour each message from each sender (for example: from Mike - blue, from Tom - yellow...) First create your colour groups as mentioned above. Then you can create filters (Account - Sorting Office/Filters) to create filters that can apply the colour groups automatically. If you want, you can apply a colour group manually by right clicking on the message in the message list pane. Select colour groups and view the options. Play around with it a bit and enjoy.
