Hello, I'm currently evaluating The Bat and would like to know if there is a way to view a list of e-mails (and size) on a server before downloading them via the Alt-F2 command. The Bat! under Linux
Well, if you can read this message, then I made The Bat! work under Linux (with Wine). The Bat! seems to work (more or less) with the latest build. It takes a little longer to load (actually, when it's loading it gets caught in some loop, and doesn't exit until I press Alt+Tab), and I can't always browse folders or view messages. But so far, it seems to work. I'm using Mandrake Linux 8.1 and WINE build 20011023-1. I'll upload a screenshot at http://www2.arnes.si/~sopjsimo/misc/batlinux.png later. -- Jernej Simoncic, [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www2.arnes.si/~sopjsimo/ ICQ: 26266467 [The Bat! v1.54/10 on Windows 95 4.0.950.Win95] -- Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Latest Vers: 1.53d FAQ: http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com
no QUIT - the same large mail again and again
Hello, I'm using The Bat! Version 1.54 Beta/9 Serial Number 1B335195 under Windows NT 4.0 Build 1381 Service Pack 6. I use an internal Mailserver "MDaemon" from Deerfield. If I fetch mails with very large attachments (bigger 6 MB) from there (and only then!), there is no "QUIT" at the end and I get the same mails 5 or 6 times. Deerfield says, it is not a problem of the Mailserver - they cannot reproduce it. I believe, there is a signal loss because there is no QUIT at the end. That all happens within 60 seconds. Can I raise the timeout therefore?
