Just press Del when viewing the message.

JR Any thoughts how they 'disappeared.?

Since you didn't have an expiration date, it could have been the
'maximum messages' setting (in which case they're not retrievable,
since you've compressed) or it could've been an indexing problem.

In the latter case there's a very real possibility that you won't see
any deleted messages, the only option then is to exit TB and delete
the messages.tbi file in the appropriate folder. When you restart TB
and select the folder, TB will recreate a new .tbi file and you'll see
all messages (including previously deleted ones).

  Strange but nothing happened.

I failed to mention that this is folder is a common folder
maybe that has something to do with it but, for the life

The content of this particular folder was redundant a

looking for a good IMAP solution

2002-05-27 Thread cedric

Hi, I've been using TB! for about 3 years now and have always been happy
with it. But now my needs have changed and I need a full IMAP compliant
e-mail software, with ability to synchronize in both ways (from client
to server and vice-versa) and to filter messages on the IMAP folders.

I've tried:

-PocoMail (does not have the features I need)
-OE (nice if we forget the vulnerabilities, but does not allow filtering
on IMAP folders anyway)
-Eudora (have never seen anything worse to set-up and I just don't feel
it)
-Mozilla (have all the features I need but is crappy to set-up and the
interface is too slow, which makes it really painful to use)

Well, I must admit I am so used to TB easy-to-use interface and
efficiency that I guess I've become demanding (I'm sure all you TB users
know what I mean!).

So the questions are: does anybody know of a add-on for TB which would
make it handle all IMAP features? Does anybody know if Ritlabs is
planning to make it use all IMAP features in further releases? In last
resort, is there another mail client I could try?

Thank you very much in advance...

Cedric

Yes! Fix your file associations. TB is only doing what the default
file association for the file type says to do. You can look in Folder
Options / File type and check there what the .z is all about and why
it is the default. A wire has got crossed somewhere with something you
installed or configured at some point and TB is at the mercy of that
configuration error right now.

periodic mail check doesn't work

2002-05-27 Thread marcel98

hi,

i'm using the bat 1.60j and customized the bat as following:

-not visible in taskbar but only in system tray
-when new mail has arrived the icon is animated
-checked the option in each of my mail accounts to check for mails at
program start
-checked the option to check for mails ever X minutes / seconds.

i'm starting the bat with commandline options /nologo and /minimize

when program starts, it minimizes to system tray and my accounts are
checked for mails. but then no account are being checked for mails
periodically although i've activated the option in all my accounts. i
don't understand this. i've set the time (after the account is checked
for mails) to 15 seconds for test reasons but there's no traffic
initiated from the bat (no network traffic visible). i'm connected via
dsl to internet (768/128)

whats wrong?

thaxs a lot.

JA I think he meant it as a windows setting. Load up Explorer, go

Thanks, found it. The extension offered over here is not .z, but ecw.
file type tells me that .ECW is Ensoniq Waveset Files. I wouldn't
know what that is, I don't even have speakers in my computer and have
certainly not installed anything called Ensoniq, I have no file
containing this word on my HD.

Anyway, how do I tell TB or Windows to reset the file extension
standard to nothing?

And, more to the point: Why doesn't TB just save the file name as is,
instead of offering an additional extension? If the file name ends in
.jpg, chances are that this is the format I want to save it in, not
.jgp.ecw (or anything else).
