A simple answer, and from Allie. Like I said, it was in a fit of
frustration it got removed. I think I'll give it another try.

Hi everybody!

I have found the translation of TB in my native language (Italian)
quite astraying and incomplete. What do I have to do to give my
contribution in that?

I agree with the usefulness of a language field, but I'd rather put it
in every contact than in the group properties. What would be the
purpose there?

The workaround for me has been defining a group for every language,
thus I was able to define different templates for each language.

Only by usurping another field in the AB entry to contain the flag.
The group field is not accessible.

Linux port? Promised? Really?

That is so exciting!

I'd never heard about that. When and where was the promise made? I've
been caught up in some work stuff and haven't been reading the list
much lately.

TMR> Linux port? Promised? Really?

No. There was no promise - just an intent and a hope as I recall.

TMR> That is so exciting!

It was - about a two and a half years ago. Then reality bit. The
promise Kylix made about simple portability between windows and
Linux didn't pan out and the idea was put on low priority. It's okay
for straightforward applications, but not for system level apps.

Hmm, I thought as much. I really just want to set a flag, or check a
field, in the group properties itself, rather than in each addressbook
entry.

They are still translating. See italian mailing-list TBUL and italian
newsgroup it.comp.software.mailreader.

However, I agree with about the lack of quality of the translation and,
in fact, I go on using English version (and I'm not alone).

The purpose would be that you can set a default for a group. But you can
just set every contact for itself.

On the other hand an entry with the contacts would be enough, because
you could mass-edit a whole group.

I'll file this on Bugtracker later this day..

Yeah it is on of the major problems with Porting apps. I will still
hold out with hope :)

I also prefer to use the English language, I use that not only in TB
but with all the other software and operating systems I use. What's
more, being a TB beta tester I am also kinda forced to use it.
Nevertheless I want to give the chance to benefit from this great

Essentially what I would like to do is when I receive a
joke or some article of interest that I would like to send to another,
rather than creating a new message and perform a "cut and paste"
manuever, I would simply like to "forward" the message to another person
