W I manage 5 accounts with TB. AdG All at free.fr ? Yes ! AdG They decide to limit the number of simultaneous connections to 4 :( I 've just tried to remove one account from list of accounts checked when I press F11... No more problem. You're right, the problem is that Free.fr seems to limit simultaneous connections ! I can't understand why they do that ! :( I will remove one account from global checking and set an automatic checking every 5 minutes for this account. A little solution... PGP-signed mails
Hello TBUDL, I use PGP 8.1 with TB to sign my outgoing mails. In those mails there is no trace, that they where signed. Hello Ralph Inselsbacher everyone else, on 29-Jan-2005 at 17:31 you (Ralph Inselsbacher) wrote: I use PGP 8.1 with TB to sign my outgoing mails. In those mails there is no trace, that they where signed. Oh yes, there is. :-) So, if i send a mail to - let's say - an outlook (express) user, how does he / she see, that my mails are signed? TB supports PGP/MIME - this will create multi-part messages, one part containing the (encrypted, if encryption is used) message, the other part the signature. Open your Sent Mail folder, select a message you signed with PGP and press F9 to view the message source. You should see the different MIME parts then. I don't know how Outlook/OE handle those messages, though (gotta try and send myself a signed message to my account @ work). I mean, if i would sign it with the clipboard-method of PGP, a mail would look like this, with header and footer: This is the old way of in-line signing/encryption. It is rather uncomfortable to deal with (depending on the email client) and I would clearly give PGP/MIME the preference. But then again, I don't know about Outlook/OE. :-) How can i set TB! to sign mails this way? You can use the %NOPGPMIME macro in your template to disable PGP/MIME. -- Best regards, Alexander (http://www.neurowerx.de - ICQ 238153981) Either he's dead or my watch has stopped. -- Groucho Marx Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

This is useful if you want to encrypt a message only to keep it from casual eyes. No, that's not quite right. A public key is never used to decrypt an encrypted message. Only the holder of the private (secret) key and its corresponding passphrase can decrypt a message encrypted to the corresponding public key. There is a method of signing that is not clear signing, and it's called ascii armoring. It *looks like* it's encrypted, but it's not. In that case, anyone with PGP or GnuPG using the decrypt verify function will convert the message back to clear text at the same time the signature is verified (providing that the public key of the signer is present on the recipient's public keyring). Again though, the only way to decrypt an *encrypted* message is with one's own private key and passphrase, and the message must be encrypted using the corresponding public key. A single message can also be encrypted to several different public keys, so that each holder of the corresponding private keys can decrypt it using their own private key/passphrase. -- Melissa PGP public keys: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]Body=Please%20send%20keys TB! v2.12.00 on Windows XP 5.1.2600 Service Pack 1 pgppuAgxf1A3u.pgp Description: PGP signature Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
