The Bat! - suggestions
Hello The Bat! developers, There are some features I would like to see in your program: It would be nice if the Bat! wouldn't open an extra window for every mail delivery/receipt process going on, as this clogs up the taskbar temporarly. A simple flapping wing tray icon would be enough to indicate activity and provide information only when clicked on and appear more background. The Bat! - suggestions
Hello The Bat! developers, There are some features I would like to see in your program: A function to browse through the messages on the server while online; useful for reading mail while accessing an account remotely and want to leave the messages on the server to get the mail from another computer and being able to delete big files by selection. Probably best implented as a seperate folder independent from Inbox. Re[3]: Suggestion: Warn if no subject entered
Kevin, So what? Set all the defaults so that the idiot proof messages DON'T come up. I personally prefer software that gives me some kind of control over things. I'd rather have more options than I'll ever use than to be frustrated because I have none at all. Yesbut... check out the big new software packages: MS products, Staroffice etc. They have so many options you don't need and so much annoying automation you don't find the options you need anymore. Even the Bat! is already so rich with features I have troubles finding some options. That's why 'd like the idea of a kind of simple scripting language to "program" your customizations yourself at need. -Jast -- -- View the TBUDL archive at http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com To send a message to the list moderation team click here: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe from TBUDL, click below and send the generated message. mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] --
Re[2]: The Bat! - suggestions
Philippe, I do not think it would be so useful : the easiest way to design a template seems to use the editor, and benefit from all its features (justify, signatures, spell checker, etc), and do a copy/paste when finished. And yet, unresizable edit windows are a general windows disease, as far as I can see. I wonder why the Bat got "infected" too.

Hello The Bat! developers, There are some features I would like to see in your program: The properties windows should be resizable, so you don't have to scroll so much while designing message templates. Re[2]: Invalid domain name
The, Make sure your Rrom/Reply to mail addresses are set the same as the domain you are using. Some servers test this. Yes. They are set to exactly that. I have also often been caught out in the past by using the wrong smtp server for the account. Check that your outgoing messages are using the correct 'active' account. The POP and SMTP servers are both the same, and should be correct. Strangely enough, this error occured to two accounts at the same time. On one I was using a wrong SMTP error. Using the correct one fixed it there. I am still wondering why it happened though, as it was working that way for months before. Now recently, I can't check my other account at all anymore. It seems to think my password is wrong, though it was never changed. -Jast -- -- View the TBUDL archive at http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com To send a message to the list moderation team click here: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe from TBUDL, click below and send the generated message. mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] --
Re[2]: Invalid domain name
Joris, Hello Anne, That's my mother ;-) This is usually her account. Are you sure you have the right to acces that server from the dail-up account you're using? Yes, as a) This error only occured recently, before everything worked correctly. b) This account isn't part of my providers service. It was included with a domain I registered. So I should be able to access it from any dialup connection. If you have, the dns-server could be down (try pinging it) I already did that, and it was there. Also, as I said, the POP part is still working.
