Opening links in a browser

2004-09-01 Thread Graham Dodd
Hello Bat'ers

just wondering if anyone has come across this problem.

If I doubleclick on a link it opens 2 instances of my browser, this only started
happening after I upgraded to 2.12

Another question, can I disable the confirmation every time I click on Send the
message - it's annoying.

thanks,

Graham

KPG I had the same some time ago and found this solution on the web (can't

KPG Open your windows explorer
KPG Tools/Folder options
KPG File types
KPG URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol
KPG Advanced
KPG Select open action
KPG Edit
KPG unmark Use DDE

Use DDE was unmarked, all I had was rundll32.exe shdocvw.dll,OpenURL %l

I only have this problem with TheBat

Yes, that was the problem I found a fix for the registry.

It seems that Firefox left some old entries in the registry, ran the fix and
everything works properly.

MP The funny thing is Outlook is now a better client than TB!. Outlook
MP 2003 has virtual folders, an excellent filtering system, secure
MP e-mail reading features such as not downloading pictures or running
MP scripts.

dropping off the list..

Any idea how I can get all my mails from TB into Outlook

I checked today and I have caught 0 spam's, but I only received 2 in TB

There is a lot of talk on the list about PopFile so I may give that a try

FB I installed a newer version of Bayesit! yesterday, going from 0.4gm to
FB 0.5.5.

FB I marked all the mails that I have in my Junk folders (about 25.000)
FB and clicked Mark as Junk from the Specials Menu. That's the new way
FB to train, it even shows a small dialog (if you have enabled it) that
FB says training.

This is what I am also doing, but I don't get any dialog - Where do you
enable this ?
BTW where did you get 0.5.5 from as I could not find 0.5.3 anywhere
(someone on the list sent it to me)

FB Would have been fun to have some kind of documentation for 0.5.5, I
FB found some in russian but babelfish.alstavista.com did not help me
FB that much, and I did not understand anything of it :).

I know what you mean :-)

FB If you do not have enough SPAM I could send you some :) for training.

I think if you sent me spamdict.bye and nspamdict.bye this would work

AM behaviour occurs only when an MS Exchange server is present. On another
AM system, with Outlook running as a stand-alone application, all Outlook
AM folders are imported properly.

AM Does anybody know what I can do about this? (Other than exporting 2 GB
AM of messages into a PST file)

AM Regards,

I had the same problem, the only way is to first export from Outlook into
Outlook Express, then from Express into TB - this works :-)

You should have no problem importing the address book direct from Outlook

Scheduler

2004-06-04 Thread Graham Dodd
Hello all Bat users,

first time on the list so please excuse the newbie questions.

Coming from Outlook where I relied on the Calendar a lot I am finding that the
Scheduler is not as good in fact I'm using Firefox with the Calendar add-in for
scheduling and reminders.

Problem 1: If I select a date in the future then Insert a new task it always defaults
to the current date, not the selected date.
Is there a setting somewhere that can change this ?

Problem 2: Tasks that have been completed still remain in the list

Is there a way to get a view of the current month ?

I'm using The Bat 2.11 on a Win2000 system

Appreciate any help with these problems as I'm still trying to find my way around all
the menu's and cool features
