Help with Lists suspension/cancellation

2003-03-25 Thread Julius S .
Help would be appreciated.

I don't have my PC yet with List Records: In transit on 5,000 km move.

Want to get off lists, like TBUDL and 2 others I'm on, as this clogs up my inbox, and
InterNet cafe time is expensive.

Could anyone please tell me how to get off these lists? There must be a general scheme
I can follow. The address I want to have removed from all The Bat lists for now is:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Any chance the moderators can help me out? Please!!

Thanks,

Julius.

DH SmartBat is a kind of clipboard extension to collect snippets from

DH example, built up a collection of quotations from various mails you

GJH What version of Windows are you running? Older versions of Windows

New Version updates... 1.60m... Groan

2002-05-21 Thread Julius S.

Hi there, gurus,

I just can't get the hang of this!!

I D/L 1.60m in the form of the_bat.exe (2460 KB) from RIT site. I copied it to my
current BAT directory, but left previous thebat.exe which is ver 1.60k
there.

I ran the new and nothing happens.

The earlier version 1.60k had to be extracted from a RAR file; not this
one.

What am I doing wrong?? Ready to go back to FREE no hastle Outlook Express.
Everything on the Bat! seems to be endless agony... 200 or so problem postings per
day to the List... or is it just me??

Help from happy campers would be appreciated.

All this effort for what?? Batted-out!!

2002-04-30 Thread Julius S.

Hi there, List members ,

I signed-on and purchased my entry to the bat! about 2 weeks ago.
I was expecting a reasonable new alternative to OE.

But all I see is about 200 e-mail exchanges per day!! about PROBLEMS with TB and
hopes for better versions etc.

How can we/you spend all our time nit-picking the program of our choice every
time we sign-on to the net??

Easier for me to go back to OE and not have to read 200 questions/ day about TB. AND WE
PAID FOR TB!! While OE and NS are free.

Isn't there something wrong here guys???

Listen, I paid my money for the bat! but can't believe the research work
(hundreds of daily messages) I have
to participate in to use it. This is not a useful tool it is a JOB which I
don't need right now. And I don't see any ending to it... just generates more
and more questions on the site.

Can we end this and get a decent product out of the bat! ? I think we should
address our problems/questions/requests to the authors, in Russia or Belarus,
and stop trying to outguess them and provide ideas that have to be tested
every time, regardless of comments from moderators with credentials.

Let's make this work!! Ideas??

Is there a way to turn on text prompts for all these buttons when we hover over
them with cursor? They are not readily apparent to my little brain; your
explanation of *hourglass* is first I learned about this. What is your
 reference source?

Couldn't find explanation for buttons symbols in archives or help file.

DAC they do. when you are in the editor there are three buttonw up in the
DAC left corner(there are more but the first three) are send mail and put
DAC mail in outbox, and the order of those two vary, I think depending on
DAC you default setting, then the hour glass. When you hover over those
DAC the title appears.

No luck. I just can't find where to turn on that default setting. I get no
titles over the buttons.

Can anyone tell me where the option is???
