New User -- Question About Reply Editor

2002-03-09 Thread Larry Hertzog

I'm trying to size the window that shows the message that I'm replying
to. I drag the bar down to make the window show more lines. But each
time I click on reply to reply to another message, it seems to default
(or go back to) it's former, too narrow, size.

Is there a way to make it stick?

Thanks.

Yes. :o) Open the Editor, extend it's margins to where you like, and
then on the Message Editor Toolbar/View make sure Store Window Position
 is checked.

This works for the overall reply window but not with the window WITHIN
it that displays the text of the message you're replying to. Is there
a way to size THAT window and have it stay put?

I've tried this and it doesn't work. We are trying to make the top reply
pane remember it's height. I'm using a full screen editor window and it
remembers everything but the height of the top 'message you are to' pane.

More assistance welcome, or maybe the authors can look into to will fiddling
 with the beta :)

Charles,

It appears to be an excellent feature, but seeing only a few lines, OR
having to resize it constantly can be annoying.

On the other hand, is there a way to disable the feature entirely?

Visual Notification

2002-03-09 Thread Larry Hertzog

I think the Ticker is a great idea. I like to have visual
notification of received email. What I'm wondering is -- is there a
way to close this visual without clicking HIDE -- which will
actually disable it.

In short, I see the ticker, don't want to read the emails at present,
but want to dispose of the ticker until the next new email arrives.

Can it be done?

Re: Visual Notification

I have TB set to play
a sound when mail arrives and to show an animated icon in the System
 Tray.

All well and good but I have my taskbar in XP Pro set to auto-hide.
The age thing seems to stop the ticker from crawling but doesn't
seem to do away with it.
