The solution was to use RegEdit32 Find HKey_CurrentUser - Software - RIT - TheBat Export this, TheBat entry, as a backup. If the problem comes back, use RegEdit32 to delete the troublesome registry entry and then import the registry entry that you had backed up. Have done the backup, and hope I don't have to use the backup. -- Paul - Using The Bat! v3.5 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2 ...The only person getting his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe. Is there a better way to recover from this? When downloading mail, it stopped on the last email, so I forced exit from Task Manager. Then The Bat would open but not respond. So I uninstalled The Bat, ran Registry Mechanic to clean registry, Reboot Install from scratch Tools - Restore from the last backup. Luckily the backup was only 3 days old. The filters and sub-folders (of the Inbox) did not restore, and have to be rebuilt. Does anyone know of a quicker or better fix if this happens again? (I sent this earlier, but it seemed to bounce.
