I checked the check if IE is default browser button. It didn't work. What I finally ended up doing was going through control panel and doing the reinstall/repair option. Then rebooted. Things are working again. I would like to know where it was in the registry. I looked in quit a few places trying the find option... Thanks for the suggestions. -- Cheers, Dean The Bat1.62 Beta/17 Current version is 1.61 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Under file/preferences I have given TheBat! the default for Opera. If I click on a url in an email it opens in Opera. When I want to use IE, I manually bring that up. IE and Opera both trigger an email in TheBat!. IE never opens automatically because it is not my default browser, Opera is. I must copy/paste into IE if I find a website that is not friendly to Opera. I am sure the same thing can be done to use OE by going to preferences. Is that what you are after? Perhaps the people at the opera.tech newsgroup can help you. Some are very helpful there. There's also opera.general Am waiting for the version that works with TheBat! Http URL
Hello, I installed Opera for a trial run, then un-installed the program. One would have thought that would be the end of the subject. Not so, now when I click on a HTTP:URL ie: www.anywhere.com The Bat cannot find Opera.exe I was getting this Http:url... error with a box where I could locate the Opera program. Thinking if I just put back in the IE exe program, that all would be well was a mistake. I now click on a url IE will open with no follow through. I tried using FAQ, I couldn't find anything specific to this. There is nothing in the program HELP files itself relating to URL . Has anyone run into this before. I tried to look in the registry for any opera commands, nothing. I looked in IE and made OE the mail reader of choice, rebooted. Then went back and changed the Mail to TheBat! again. Rebooted. Nothing. Any suggestion welcomed:) -- Cheers, Dean Using The Bat!1.62 Beta/17 Current version is 1.61 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
