Nice to see you here too :-))
Ok with 'almost' it was my way of expressing exactly this! And it has
a even a very good advantage to be part of TB!udl: -a- you can improve
your written English and -b- you meet a lot of nice people 'around
the globe'. Isn't?

Have a nice day.

BTW: Gert we must work on your Signature that still shows bad on my
side using TB!. Let's do it these days.

P.S. May I point to the bottom - below the Sig-Line - where you can
find the URL where my PGP public Key can be found. Thank you!

This is the right way.
But after some confusion in the past, I have change the setting, the
ListServer will only check From: header for posting. But for List
Command (such SUB, UNSUB, Digest etc) the List will check both, either
From: and Reply-To: header.

I have made "header checker" after that case, so if member put
[EMAIL PROTECTED] as Reply-To: address, the List will not take
any action, though.

No. In my case, I have several aliases for this one mailbox, like
[EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] - it's all the same mailbox.
And the outbox would only determine which SMTP server to use basically. As
long as relaying is allowed, there should be no problems using a different
 SMTP (AFAIK IIRC)

Hmmm. Interesting. Not too long ago, a couple subscribers were

I don't want to contradict you, so I won't. But, in my case at least, the
'reply-to' address is different to that of the 'from' address on the folder
identity tab. When I first subscribed to this list I received a few
'undeliverables' after posting because the 'From' address on the identity tab
of my TBUDL folder differed to that of the address I used to subscribe. As
soon as I changed it back, no problem occurred. However, the reply-to field
remains a different address (perhaps I misunderstood you)

Please go into Options/Network & Admin in the main window.

Under the Network tab, in the lower third, it should say "This machine
is workstation with TCP/IP". If something else is showing, change it.

Under the Privileges Tab, make sure your rights are Administrator, not
User.

M> The problem would be solved if TB would store the outgoing messages in

TB will store the message in the Outbox of the account that is
currently active. That's the way it should be, never mind what you
type in the From address field.

So you filter across accounts.

The reply-to information is the more important header. This is
what the listserver checks. Earlier some were putting the listserv's
address in their folder settings when in fact it should be their
subscribed e-mail address. They were getting errors upon sending
messages as well. So make sure that the 'reply-to' address and not
only the 'from' is also the same as your subscribed address.

What I understand is the following:

You receive mail on account A but filter it into account B. You want
to reply but since it is in account B, you get an arror message from
your ISP.

Try Options/Active Account in the message editor when you create the
message and change this to account A. It will then be put into the
correct Outbox.

Try out the Ticker feature. That will show a rotating list of all new
mail. It can be resized and moved to any location. Double click on it
and a virtual folder opens which contains *all* new messages,
regardless of which folder the message is in. N.B. - the virtual
folder only works well when the "View / Message List" switch is on.

Can you send any mail from the second account (ie, from any folder in
that account)? If not, try changing the SMTP server of the account
that isn't working to be the same as the SMTP server in the account
that is working. I don't know how much you know about your outgoing
mail servers, but often you have to be logged in to your ISP to use
 your ISP's SMTP server.

If you want more detail, someone else here could probably explain the
details better than myself. I've about exhausted my knowledge of how
 SMTP servers work. :)

The Roman (Latin) letters on my Chinese keyboard are arranged in the
US layout - so it's CRTL-] over here. But there is a German mailing
list, I don't have the details now, but that one should be able to
help you further. Quite a number of shortcuts are different on
European or Latin American keyboards, we have found out.

Maybe Dieter or Andreas will mail you how to subscribe to the German

Yes, August 1999. :)

For viewing new messages (and there's been lots of acrimonious
discussion about this topic recently), in addition to using the keyboard
shortcut (CTRL-] or equivalent) to move to the next new message in a
folder, if you ALT-CLICK on the message flag (the envelope icon) for any
new message, TB will display only new messages in _all_ folders. It's
sort of an on-the-fly filtering. To re-display all messages, do ESC or
CTRL-=.

A stab in the dark:

If I am understanding you correctly, I think it is to do with the email
address you used to subscribe to TBUDL. What I mean is, if you right click
on the folder with the filtered messages in it, and then choose properties,
and then the identity tab, the email address in the From section must be the
same as the one you used to subscribe to TBUDL!. If it is not, it will be
returned.

The message ends up in the outbox of the filtered account although i

Welcome! It definitely is the best. Wait till version 2.0 comes out to
further reinforce that feeling.

U> And now i have some questions!

U> How can i sort my folders in my dominant folder?
U> I only found to sort them alphabetically.

Two ways:

1. Holding down the ALT key and drag the folder.
2. Holding down the CTRL-ALT key and drag the folder. However, this
one will let you drag a folder into another folder, thereby making
   it a child folder.

U> How can i make stationaries? Did found how to do that!

TheBat! calls stationaries "templates" They are everywhere. In the
account properties for a global template. Under the folder properties
for a folder level template. On an address book contact for a contact
level template. Finally, as a Quicktemplate in account properties for
a supremely global (meaning you can share it with other accounts)
level template. Each template can be made with just text, or by
including all sorts of macros, and includes for files. You'll just
have to play with it to get the full effect.

U> Is it possible to fade out the accounts in the main folder?
U> I have multiple account and filter them into my dominant account.

Not as far as I know. If I understand your question correctly, you
don't want account B or account C to show because all the messages

And now i have some questions!

How can i sort my folders in my dominant folder?
I only found to sort them alphabetically.

How can i make stationaries? Did found how to do that!

Is it possible to fade out the accounts in the main folder?
I have multiple account and filter them into my dominant account.
I can´t create folders outside the account folders!
Is there a way to do it?

And last not least:
Is it possible to let the cursor jump to the new mails or even to the
