Try Workspace -> Message Auto View (Ctrl+Shift+E).

That's a harder one - I've got no idea how to make the menubar
disappear.

Any simple idea will be worded in the most complicated way.

I think you have the toolbar with the icons, but you are missing the
one with the words (i.e. the Main Menu), is that correct?

Try this:

>> Anyway, I assume you have never done any customisation of your menus
>> or toolbars, have you?. If so, I would suggest that you right click on

Once you right-click on any toolbar icon and select Customise, you
have under tab "Menues and Toolbars" the tab "Containers".

In that tab, you have the container "Main Menu". Here you can create
it and add the menu items you want to see.

HTH.

I guess I was assuming that The Bat! had a typical menu which begins with File
and then Edit and then other sections. My Messages, Specials, Folder, Account
toolbar I do have and didn't lose that one. I guess I was just mistaken about a
File, Edit, etc. toolbar.

You should also be aware of the possibilities of Workspace/Window
Split Mode.

If your Main menu has disappeared, how the heck did click on Workspace
and Message auto-view?

Anyway, I assume you have never done any customisation of your menus
or toolbars, have you?. If so, I would suggest that you right click on
any toolbar and select Customise. Once the Customise window opens,
click on the "Restore to default" button on bottom left corner.

Preview pane and main menu disappeared - revised

2019-01-04 Thread Mike Greenbaum
Correction to my previous email below: I found what I thought was the
preview pane but apparently is called the Message space and was able
to restore it by clicking in the Workspace menu and turning on Message
auto-view. so that problem is solved.

However, I still cannot figure out how to restore the toolbar or main
menu which contains File, Edit, etc.

Thanks.

I'm not sure I have the correct term, but the preview pane, the part of the
main screen which shows me a preview of the message below my list of emails,
has disappeared. I have no idea how to get it back. I did a search for Preview
Pane, but that gave me nothing.

Also, my main menu has disappeared. This is the menu which has File, Edit, etc
up at the top. Again, I don't know what I did to cause it to disappear, but can
anyone suggest a way to get it back?

Thanks.
