Try upgrading to the latest version 1.53d. Somebody just said on
another list that something about attachments was fixed.

Could it be that the original mail came from a Mac and the other
'attachments' are just the resource forks which on a PC are of no use?

I had a similar problem with 1.53bis (it may also have been present
with 1.53): When I put my vCard into a message and then another file,
like for instance a Word document, the second file never got attached.

This has been addressed with the release of 1.53d. You will need only
the executable (in a RAR file under Support/Beta-Testers-Only). I
highly recommend this update.

2001-06-25 Thread Kåre H. Tornes

Sorry!

Did not tell the whole truth: I can see ONE of the attachments in the
"attachment column".
For instance, I can see the file "aktiv.EPS", but this only is a
file that can not be opened, and is just 2239 bytes big, and beneath
this attacment, there is another one called "aktiv.EPS (aktiv1.EPS)"
that is the right size and can be opened.
The other 4 missing attacments, are not displayed.

With 1.53d the attachment column is seen always (when chosen in the

It may be that they are masked by an HTML "cover note". At the bottom
of the message view there may be tabs, one of which says '1' and the
other of which says "message.html". Click on the '1' tab and that will
reveal the plain-text version of the mail *and* (more importantly) the
"attached files" tab.

Problems with attachment (thebat v1.53)

2001-06-25 Thread Kåre H. Tornes

Hi!

People are trying to send me an email with 5 attached EPS-files.
I receive the attachments in the "Attach"-catalog, but they are not
visible in the mail.
Someone know what the problem is?

Best regards
