I'm afraid there is not such an option. Just like there is no way to
delete several folders , from the folder tree, if it is not one at a
time.

Hello Shahar,

On Thursday, April 19, 2001 16:51:55 [ +0200 GMT], you wrote the
following in regards to 'Delete Attachments.':

Shahar I have a rule that copy some of my incoming mail to another folder.
Shahar I need to delete all the attachments from the messages that goes to this
Shahar specific folder.

Shahar Can I do it automatically ?
Shahar If yes - Please advice me how.

I only know of a qualified 'yes'. Here's what I would do unless a
  better suggestion comes along.

In filters, under 'Action' tab, there is an option to 'extract
attached files to the specified directory' you are allowed to
chose a folder file name. Also there is a sub-option to
'overwrite existing files' so, worse case scenario, you will only
have one file @ a time buried on your HD or you can 'increment a
file name if a file already exists' if you want to review the
  attachments before deleting them.

2001-04-19 Thread Shahar

Hello Jan.
Well, this solution does extract the files to a folder but it does not
delete the files from the original message so I have the same message
in 2 folders in TB! with the attached files in both folders.

Any idea ?

TIA.

Correction: I can delete .html attachments, but not .shtml attachments

Not always, I just tried, some shtml attachment can be delete, but some

You can't delete the html attachment in John Hinsin's message
because it isn't an attachment at all. Take a look at the source and
you'll find a html-only message, not the usual plain text/html
hybrid. Most email client send html messages (if they do that at
all) would send one as a multipart message with a plain text part
and html part, so it can be viewed with plain text-only email
clients. Not this one.

It seems like TB has a unknown (to me, at least) feature that
"convert" such a message on the fly and present a plain text version
if the "HTML Auto-View" isn't enabled. Not sure what happens if it's
a html-only message with graphics, though (John's is all text).

I was told this about "normal" HTML messages earlier, too. But now I
can delete them.

Got your point. No multipart/alternative, either.

ML It seems like TB has a unknown (to me, at least) feature that

Nice feature, then. How about this: if I click on "delete the
attachment", the message would be converted into this plian-text
version? In that case, it would be transparent to the user whether
it's a "real" attachment or not. Saved would be the plain-text message
as desired.

ML Not sure what happens if it's a html-only message with graphics,
ML though (John's is all text).

I'd be interested too.
