These are the URL's to obtain official PGP versions.

You'll not find the ckt builds there.

What are the differences between the native PGP support in TB, the

  peoples creations or what?

AH What are the differences between the native PGP support in TB,

The native support that PGP offers is PGP v2.6. When using this, you'll
be restricted to using only RSA keys. Most of us use the newer DH/DSS
keys so you'd not be able to verify our signatures or use our public
keys for encrypting messages to us.

AH the PGP 8.xx builds,

That's the latest official PGP version, available from www.pgp.com . The
latest version is v8.0.2 and TB! v2 will provide integrated support for
it.

AH the NUPG builds

Don't know those builds. :/

AH and the CKT builds?

These were developed by Imad Faiad in order to provide features not
available in PGP 6.5.8, the last of the official releases of PGP v6.x.x

I guess his further enhancement of this version to form the ckt builds
was motivated by the fact that the source for the later official PGP
versions were no longer available and this concerned him as well as the
other PGP user community.

Yes, Imad's builds include features not available in the free version,
e.g. PGP disk volume for example, and large encrypted keys 4096.. Sure
hope he comes out with a similar v8 product.

connects to a server :-/

Any ideas? Is there anyone who offers a download? Or could someone
send me the build8 via PM?

TIA

PGP 6.5.8ckt build8 and later comes packaged with its own TB! plug-in
DLL. Try using the PGP ckt with it.

ftp from this site as the file is around 6.5MB.

That was it! Thanks. YMMD! Download still active ;-)

B How do I select this plug-in? I assume it was installed with pgp
B 6.5.8ckt?

In the main TB! window, click on Tools/OpenPGP/Choose Open PGP
Version, then put a dot in the circle beside PGP 6.0x/6.5xplug-in.
Tools/OpenPGP/Preferences will give you a dialogue box with further
choices, also.

B Thanks for the information. I saw those options, but I was not sure

The reason I thought it would work for you was that I had a lot of
trouble searching it out myself, and that's how I got TB! to recognize
the plug-in. I hope that it does work for you.

However, it seems to be available at www.pgpi.com
