I have the current Yahoo, Hotmail and Netscape Modules for Web2Pop (been
using it for a couple of years). No errors using Hotmail's module; don't
really use Yahoo's module anymore. Have not used Netscape's module but
I have it.

Let me know if you want any of them and I can send them to you privately :)

Click on START->Programs->Hotmail_Popper->Hotmail_Popper to restart the popper.

You should now be ready to test it. In TheBat click on the "Inbox" for the Hotmail

is a little slow on starting.

If you have a personal firewall (Kerio, ZoneAlarm, BlackIce, etc) disable it for the
test. If you are successful in retrieving data, re-enable the firewall, send a message
to your hotmail account from you regular email (isp) and try to retrieve it again.

That's about it. Good Luck.

In The Bat!, set up the General section as it should be, then, in

ADR should be listening on port 25 (smtp) for outgoing mail not 110
(incoming pop). I am using both ADR and HotPotp with no conflicts. But
then neither one is using the default ports, I reconfigured each and
the corresponding TB entries to use some other unused ports.

If that IP is in use, try 127.0.0.2 (there's actually a whole range of
IP addresses you could use, I just forgot were it ends, my guess would
be 127.0.0.255).

telnet localhost 110

If you get a connection refused, chances are, there is nothing
listening in on that port. If it accepts, then you know something is
listening. Of course, a firewall may have some impact here, but I
don't think there are many windows firewalls that block localhost
transactions.

Luc,
The SMTP server is the server you send mail out to the world. In the
POP3 server you put: 127.0.0.1
This will tell The Bat to go to the Hotmail thing and login. Some kind
of localhost. I'll be glad to hear an explanation for it from one of
