HDS I can't figure out what!

ACM I've never personally experienced this bizarre behaviour and I don't
ACM know why you are experiencing it. :-/

I *do* experience this on occasion. I think it is when resources are
low and TB can't get permission to create the icons from the system.

That is because the memo function somehow *only* works in
the message preview window (how illogical: one would expect
more functions to be available in real view, not less).

grin I just discovered something funny:

The memo window has a proportional font ;-)

nudge The message list, the folder list, the cookie definition box
and a few other windows have proportional fonts too. :) /nudge

It's just the editor and the message views that don't (and maybe
a few template editors).

Not commenting, just pointing out a visible fact.

Hello Marck and Avenarius,

Thanks for the responses. I wish it weren't happening, but since it
is, I'm glad I'm not the only one. :/

HDS Allow me to ask for your kind services yet again; I may not be
HDS able to give enough info for you to help me, but I'd very much
HDS like to know if anyone else is having this problem:

HDS In View Folder, I sometimes find that all of a sudden a bunch of
HDS the buttons and menu commands gray out. That is, all the buttons
HDS commands will be available at first, and then all of a sudden
HDS they aren't. I can't figure out how to activate them again short
HDS of closing the folder and reopening it.

To me, this happens every other day with the memo function.
(CTRL+SHIFT+I) Every other day, when I want to record a memo for a
message, the SAVE and the TRASH buttons in the memo window are grayed
out. The memo window is disfunctional; you can't record anything in
it, nor can you read notes that had been previously recorded in it.

You've got to wait for 5 minutes, or for 24 hours -- and then, all of
a sudden, the Memo function is up and running again: you can record
your memos as if nothing had happened, and you can also read notes
stored in that same window that only 5 minutes ago was totally blank
when you opened it.

It is a buggy program, The Bat is.

Yours,
Alex. of Slovakia

ps. As I finished writing this, I checked out the Memo function. It
isn't currently working on my system: the buttons are grayed out yet
again. Sometimes it helps to restart The Bat several times, and then
it starts working. However, mostly you're too busy and too mad to do
that, so you're apt to use your favourite notepad instead...
