The answer lies in the editor options: deactivate persistent blocks
 and activate overwrite blocks.

 That should do the trick.

HI!

Hans:

Thank you very much. That straightened things out right away.

Have you tried dragging it to Trash?
If you 'Saved as draft' there's an hourglass symbol present and you
can't delete the message by selecting Delete (but have to drag to
Trash _or_ click hourglass symbol and then select delete).

I used to experience the same problem, at a time when my folder reply

%QUOTES macro *somewhere*, or the F4 shortcut won't work.

I don't see any developer philosophy that "email shouldn't be able to

Raging tide? I've missed that. Those who are really concerned about
security and privacy issues have turned to TheBat! for a level of
protection from insidious email content. If you want/need this

help satisfy you. Outlook and other fully capable html-renderers will
be happy to execute embedded code, honor Web bugs, and other wonderful
concepts introduced by the leader in security-blind products.

WOW .. talk about bandwidth g

Actually IF there is a worry about security etc it would be very
simple to have a switch (option, user preference etc) for retrieve or
don't retrieve. No be huha.

Developers choice .. it is also a developers choice to use the
registry to store info, it is also a developers choice to hard code
the attachment location (full path including drive) in the mail.
These are all developers choices and fine ones they are.

As I mentioned it would be very easy to make this optional .. YES?

Can anyone list some of the new features in the beta? I'm curious.

Thanks.

I don't know how some of the other more experienced TB! Users feel about
it, but if I were checking out TB! for the first time, I'd lean toward
 installing the latest Beta:

 http://www.ritlabs.com/the_bat/beta.html

as that would give you the most up to date list of features.

You are quite correct. I am leaving all messages retried with The
Bat! on the server and am periodically downloading them all to Eudora.
If I write a message that is important I forward a copy of it to
myself so I get with Eudora also.

Accordingly, I have now downloaded and installed the Beta...only
problem is that I don't see what is new. Is there some list of the
 new or different features?
