Re[2]: TB! v1.51 - NoCanvasHandle
Hello Listers. On Friday, March 09, 2001 06:19:57 [ -0500 GMT], A Curtis Martin wrote the following in regards to 'TB! v1.51 - NoCanvasHandle': Allie Jan's problem could therefore be TB!'s response to a system problem Allie created by another application. With NT4/2k you could examine your GDI Allie Object consumption by the various running processes and see what the Allie culprit is. There is a 'resource meter' in WinMe under system tools. When I started the program it warned me that 92% of my system resources were in use I should shut something down (which I did). the RM now reports that I'm using 38% of GDI. Currently IE55 TB! are the major applications running. The programs I closed down were 'MusicMatch JukeBox' 'Napster'. -- Jan Rifkinson Ridgefield, CT USA Using TB! v1.51 ICQ 41116329 -- __ Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] You are subscribed as : archive@jab.org

Hello Markus, On Thursday, March 08, 2001 15:59:33 [ +0100 GMT], you wrote the following in regards to 'TB! v1.51 - NoCanvasHandle': Markus I also get it quite often. Even when my memory is not Markus specifically low. This is not particular to v 1.51. The Markus annoying thing is that after this message my whole screen goes Markus wild and I can hardly get to the task manager to kill all apps Markus and reboot. I have a feeling that it is related to the ticker. Same here. For some reason I thought it might have to do with IE5.5 because if I dump out of IE, TB! seems to regain stability. But then I used to hide my ticker in my older machine (slower, less memory) when I had a few programs opened this, in of itself, seemed to prevent a lot of problems. I hope others pick up on this thread 'cause I'm sure we're not alone. -- Jan Rifkinson Ridgefield, CT USA Using TB! v1.51 ICQ 41116329 -- __ Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] You are subscribed as : archive@jab.org
