Wishlist is here:

http://www.ritlabs.com/bt/ - it's in the same place as Bugtracker -
you'll need to create a BT account there to be able to use it if you
don't have one already. :-)

Okay that works, and I guess that also answers the question as to
whether or not there's a switch to turn on recognition.

It's just that it yet another step to have to perform and I'm surprised
that something as well featured as the Bat doesn't support a very
common form of URL embedding.

Now how I post that to the wish/obvious omission list? :-)

works for me - I use this quite a bit.

The URL prefix

2003-09-09 Thread Mark Adams

I'm using The Bat V2 (although this appeared to be the same in V1.X)
and I've noticed a problem with embedded URL's in messages.

If the message contains a URL in this format http://foobar.com then
The Bat correctly identifies it as a URL and makes it a "hot spot".

But if it is sent in this format http://foobar.com> then it is
not.

RFC 1738 discusses this format and while support for this method of
doing things isn't required it is one of the more common methods of
quoting URLs in plain text.

Am I missing a switch or does The Bat just not support this?
Hopefully it's the former as cutting and pasting URL's is getting to
be a pain!

Regards

Mark
