And here another 20 newsgroups, 2 servers, in MesNews. Just for a few
groups, I am really interested in, and want to be notified about new
postings, by a specific sound for that group, and replies, by sound and
ticker, I prefer The Bat!/MyGate much and much more than the regular
newsreaders..

Sounds interessting but a little bit to much work to configure.

I think Thunderbird is a little bit easier there.

a group and about replies, all regular newsreaders, excuse me, are crap
compared to The Bat!/MyGate.

I played with the idea of installing Thunderbird, especially in view
of IMAP support. I don't have a real need for IMAP yet, and MyGate as
a plugin is certainly easier to install and configure than a whole new
client. I think.

In fact, all you have to do in MyGate is point to your newsserver,
give it your login details and choose the NGs you want to subscribe
to. I don't think Thunderbird will show you your newssgroup without
you having keyed this in either. Let us know why it is easier to
install Thunderbird as compared to MyGate.

Thats the official .msi i guess, because i asked for it due to the
Beta Versions - they are not stable of course and can loose Folders.
And this could happen too, if you sometimes use Beta Versions...

Would you mind upgrading your Signature for this Group with at least:

The Bat! %THEBATVERSION
%WINDOWSPLATFORMNAME %WINDOWSMAJORVERSION.%WINDOWSMINORVERSION %-
build %WINDOWSBUILDNUMBER %WINDOWSCSDVERSION

That makes it easier to guess how to help you...

existing folder not in TheBat

2009-11-03 Thread Christian Buhtz
I created a folder in TheBat. I don't know why an when but it disapeared
someday.

If I would created it new TB told me that it is still there.
I can't see it in TB but I can see it in my filesystem itself.

How can I make the folder visible in TB again?

And why does all this happens? Why does folders disapear?
