Re: threading (or really, unthreading) a folder??

It seems to me a misfeature for TB! to have tied threading to the folder Use account default column settings, such that any change in the threading selection for any one folder with that option ticked results in that threading selection being propogated to all folders so ticked. To the best of my incomplete knowledge you're not and, really, rather a lot of TB!'s customisation features are a horrible muddle and need to be rewritten from scratch. (I've never understood the 'use account default column settings' - where are they set? I would expect the defaults to be set in Account Properties and folders which _don't_ take the defaults to have them explicitly set via another tab in right-mouse-button | Properties. I'm afraid that, if things like this don't hit you in the face, they're not worth using). If you think the column settings lack clarity, try 'use folder-specific print settings' - this was explained to me as clearly as it could have been yet is still utterly incomprehensible. I have neither time nor inclination to learn such curious user interface notions ... I somehow got the folder for a mailing list into threading mode and it is driving me nuts - I want to turn threading OFF!! but can't find any command to do so, and the help file doesn't provide any help. -- Peter Bennett, VE7CEIVancouver, B.C., Canada GPS and NMEA info: http://vancouver-webpages.com/peter Vancouver Power Squadron: http://vancouver-webpages.com/van-ps -- Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Latest Vers: 1.53d FAQ: http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com

I like using the Alt-number combos; try Alt-1 through Alt-4, and Alt-0 to turn off. Now if only threading was a per-folder option! (Actually use the Help File for TB Help?? Don't bother, it's a lost cause...) jon On Monday, February 04, 2002, 8:35:49 PM, Peter Bennett wrote: PB How the h*** do you enable and disable threading in a folder?
