preparing the lessons, and assessing instructional technology.
The CDROM contains lesson examples and
instructional resources
There is also a web site that readers
can go to with an electronic bulletin board/e-mail/online chat rooms
where you can request assistance, share ideas, or research successful
implementation!
Nice glossary of terms for world of
technology as well!
There is a great “primer on
computers” for people who need to start at the beginning!!
Very helpful for those teaching people who are just beginning as
well!
There is a great reminder on Copyright
and the Use of Internet Resources - see pages 45 –46 – nice
summary
Dinosaur Home Page – created and
maintained by an elementary student – great example of what kids can
do with the internet – what a way to “extend opportunities” for
those who have a special interest and/or ability!
Virtual tours – very helpful for
people just learning about how to use these in their schools!!!
Interactive lessons – neat things to
do to make sure you use the digital world in learning
Evaluating – good chapter with some
templates/rubrics/checklists you can use for evaluation of technology
in instruction

subjects as well

[tech-cord] Exchange 2000 Filtering

2002-08-29 Thread Thomas Voss

Anyone that uses Exchange 2000 and tried to implement any kind of spam
filtering knows what a pain it can be. I have found an add-on filter for
SMTP services that will filter all open relay emails as well as known
spammer accounts based off of various RBLs such as Osirusoft, SPEWS, or
ORDB. Its called Open Relay Filter and as far as my testing has gone, it
has cut about 80% of all spam, filtering over 4000 messages over a week
period. If you are interested take a look http://www.vamsoft.com. Its
fairly inexpensive for the ammount of filtering it does, about $25 for
the add-on.
