Great, thanks! I put in the new time on
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/TechnicalBoardAgenda then, i. e. 2014-05-27,
17:00 London time / 16:00 UTC.

I also asked Matt Zimmerman to update the fridge calendar (or remove
his entry, and I can add a new one).

Thanks,

If it helps, I could reschedule the weekly meeting I have on Tuesdays at 17:00
and become available. Since Kees is "If Need Be" at that time, I'll let him
decide.

Now everyone added themselves. Unfortunately there's not a single time
when everybody is available, just some which are all-but-one:

 * Monday 19 to 21: all but Martin
 * Tuesday and Thursday 18 to 20: all but Adam

So perhaps we can alternate between Monday and Tuesday 19:00 (London
time, i. e. UTC plus DST) and just live with either Adam or me not
being there and catching up by mail?

Thanks,

Meeting time

2014-04-30 Thread Martin Pitt
Hello all,

sorry for again missing the meeting on Monday. Last weeks were
particularly affected by lots of travel and various holidays, but in
general Monday 22:00 is a really bad time for me.

We haven't actually discussed the meeting time with the
not-so-new-anymore board yet, so I created a doodle:

  http://doodle.com/zmi9m7gfwtyczg5s

Can you please add your availability there? We have traditionally
synced the meeting to London time, as we are all on the northern
hemisphere. So that's how to interpret the hours. I put it for May 12
(the next meeting), but this should apply to all subsequent meetings,
of course.

Hoping that we can find a different slot :)

Thanks,

Martin

We tied this to UTC because UK/Europe/USA DTS wasn't always at the same
time. That said, I'm fine with 2100 UK time.

I have no problem with sticking to 21:00 London time. If nothing else
it might render Google Calendar that little bit less confused. The
worst case is that we have a week or two of confusion per year when
North America and Europe change DST at different times.

Meeting time

2012-11-13 Thread Martin Pitt
Hello TB,

sorry for missing the meeting yesterday. I thought we agreed to move
the meeting one hour earlier during DST only. It seems we switched
between three different time slots now, and at least for me we keep
between switching between "impossible" and "really inconvenient".

As this keeps causing confusion, and there is very little rationale
for binding our meeting time to UTC (given that we are all on the
Northern hemisphere), can we agree to always have the meeting at 21:00
London time?

If that doesn't work for you, I'd like to set up a Doodle to figure
out a new time.

Thanks,

Martin

I'm happy with both times, so if 20:00 UTC is more convenient, I'm fine
with us moving it to that time.

Meeting time

2012-08-20 Thread Martin Pitt
Hello all,

as you undoubtedly noticed, I have some serious trouble making it to
the 23:00 CEST meeting these days. When we set up the meeting time, we
agreed on adjusting it to summer time, and indeed we did in the first
couple of weeks, but these days it seems the meeting has been put to
21:00 UTC again.

Any chance we can move it back to 20:00 UTC, or doing another doodle
for the current members?

Thanks,

Martin

Meeting time set at 2100 UTC every other Monday

2012-04-02 Thread Soren Hansen
Just to fill everyone in: At the last meeting, we decided to keep the
current meeting time as defined in UTC. Specifically, the meeting will
stay at 2100 UTC and will be held every other Monday (i.e. nothing has
changed). Sorry for not pointing this out sooner.

So, I think this is more complex than just picking a time, since mdz was
talking about potentially switching days too. Here, let's use this:

http://www.doodle.com/44mg7x3e84qtqahw

Ignore the actual date (Feb 21), but just pay attention to the day (Mon).
We can sort out week alternation after we nail this down.

It claims timezone support. I put in 7am through 10pm US/Pacific, which
gets into some clearly insane times for the UK, but hey, let's see what
happens.

Technical Board Meeting Time

2011-02-10 Thread Scott James Remnant
Hey folks,

I noticed in the meeting notes that it's been proposed to move the TB
meeting time; since the current time is in one of the few "impossible" hours
for me, I definitely support that ;-)

Rather than ask everyone what times they prefer, perhaps a better approach
would be to ask everyone what time they cannot possibly do and what time
they would normally be sleeping?

For me, 07:00 to 08:00 & 19:00 to 20:00 America/Los_Angeles are my
impossible blocks, as this is when I'm on the shuttle to or from work - and
for whatever reason, FreeNode actively seem to block IRC from either smart
phones or the GBus WiFi networks.

00:00 to 06:00 America/Los_Angeles is my "sleeping" block.
