Yup, it sounds like that's what is going on. I somehow forgot about
that change, thanks for the correction.

 righto

Current, tentative plan is to (re)add a defaulit folderview widget (which
displays a liveinst shortcut) as well as adding liveinst to kicker favorites
list... which is basically how it was handled in plasma4.

Are you using btrfs ? If so that's probably a subvolume not a folder ...

Cool, thanks. Had done a quick search but couldn't see anything about it.

Yes, and it's already known, fallout from Plasma 5. The KDE SIG is on
the case and coming up with something.

kde / jam install button

2015-03-09 Thread Ian Malone
Hi,

On the Jam spin I'm not seeing the install icon on the live desktop
(F22 Alpha RC3). Can someone please save me having to download the KDE
spin and tell me whether this is also the case in the normal KDE spin?

SELinux Testing needed for Alpha Launch

2015-03-09 Thread Stephen Gallagher
We have an SELinux update in Bodhi[1] addressing an issue with SELinux
denials on rolekit deployments of FreeIPA. As this is an important
part of the Fedora Server, we'd very much appreciate if we could get
some karma on this today so we can push it to stable for tomorrow's
Alpha release.

Indeed, ibus is usually pulled in along with additional languages. Thanks

My memory was faulty about the circumstances.

When one does a KDE install from the net-install DVD and select multiple
languages it is then that ibus gets pulled in along with appropriate input
methods.

I would be careful with the last claim.

In F22, it seems gnome-software doesn't display any programs anymore where
a screenshot is missing in the appdata file. AFAIR, Richard Hughes has
mentioned such a change on devel@ list. It seems this change is active for
F22 already.

Audacious is not displayed either anymore, and it features appdata files
with the screenshot commented out. Just the recent build I've done adds
an updated file from upstream with screenshots.

2015-03-09 Thread Joerg Lechner
Again to how to install the graphical view of Yum/ex. Here 2 screenshots of F21
to compare with my last posting for F22. (I have F21 and F22 on different
external disks, therefore it's no problem to switch from F22 to F21 and vice
versa)

There's no significant
difference in the behaviour of different
graphical software tools in F21 and
F22.

GNOME Software was the default (and only installed) graphical software

manager in Fedora Workstation 21, and it's the same in Fedora
Workstation 22.
Its design and behaviour hasn't changed in any notable
way.

yumex is a
different graphical software manager. It is not installed
by default in Fedora
Workstation - in 21 or 22. It *is* installed by
default in the Cinnamon, Xfce,
LXDE, and MATE spins.

If you don't have it installed, you can install it with
'yum install
yumex' and find it in the overview after that.

As Michael said,
yum per se provides no graphical application you
would find through the
overview. I'm really pretty sure you must be
remembering yumex, nothing else
seems to fit the bill.

2015-03-09 Thread Joerg Lechner
Thank You Adam, I have now got the graphical view of Yumex in F22 as it was in
F21.
But I send again 2 screenshots, to explain, how I tried in the first time to
find Yum/ex
via the Gnome SW Tool in F22 and didn't have success, but by this way I have
had success in F21.
