[Texascavers] Caving in Vietnam at Monday's Bexar Grotto meeting

At Monday’s Bexar Grotto meeting, our very own Mio Kitano is giving a 
presentation on her caving exploits in Vietnam, entitled "Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng 
National Park: A Paradise for Cavers".

For those who don’t know about caving in Vietnam, Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng was 
designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003 for its geological values.  The 
park contains more than 300 caves and grottos, including the world's largest 
cave, Son Doong Cave. Mio and Nick visited a number of caves during their 
vacation in Vietnam in August 2015 and the presentation will show cool pictures 
from their trip.

The Bexar Grotto meets every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 7pm in the 
Party Room of Chester’s at 410 and N New Braunfels.

[Texascavers] internet question

Charlie, ole'buddy, ole'pal, etc., please ignore this post.


I am posting this here, because I know most of you know lots more about the
internet than I do.

I am trying to find an inexpensive motel tonight with an ethernet
connection in the room.

All the motels just brag about their very lame wi-fi connections.

At the moment, my wi-fi is not working.

Any tips or suggestions on finding a cheap room with an ethernet jack ??

I might try the Candlewood Suites, but that is way way above my budget and
also way across town.

P.S.

If I ever do go caving again someday ( 2019 ?? ), it won't involve my
estranged-wife, Magdalena or my old "suegra dulcita," in any way, meaning I
can go caving anytime I want, if I could.I just can't this year.

I doubt I will ever get to take my kid in a cave.She is ignoring me
now, and I hope that it is just that teen thing, but mostly she has sided
with her wacko mom.
