At Monday’s Bexar Grotto meeting, our very own Mio Kitano is giving a presentation on her caving exploits in Vietnam, entitled "Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park: A Paradise for Cavers".
For those who don’t know about caving in Vietnam, Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003 for its geological values. The park contains more than 300 caves and grottos, including the world's largest cave, Son Doong Cave. Mio and Nick visited a number of caves during their vacation in Vietnam in August 2015 and the presentation will show cool pictures from their trip. The Bexar Grotto meets every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 7pm in the Party Room of Chester’s at 410 and N New Braunfels.
