Interesting point. The Federal Fish hatchery in Uvalde had to shut down. But they in reality can't because there has to be someone to feed and take care of all the fish. A conundrum for sure. My friend there kept working because she couldn't not deal with turning off all the systems. There are a few hundred thousand fish. I was affected for about 6 hours, then I had to report for duty the next day. When you are furloughed they make you come into work the next morning anyway. You have 4 hours to shut down, return your government equipment, and sign your paperwork. Our office is preparing for another potential shut down in a few weeks. So much so we have been instructed to pull the plug on all previously scheduled work engagements.
