I bought the TEXAS topo set from National Geographic several years ago. I found it on clearance somewhere. I love it. The Texas set is about 10 CD's and yes it can be loaded to a hard disk so you don't need the CD's. I use it all the time to prepare hiking / search maps when going to new caving properties.
