[Therion] Help with an error

This just means that you do not have survex loaded on the machine that Therion
is running on.

If you do, and Therion is set to use survex loop closure, you will get instead
a section in therion.log that starts like this;

### cavern log file
 1> Survex 1.2.37
 2> Copyright ¸ 1990-2018 Olly Betts
 3>
4> Survey contains 140 survey stations, joined by 139 legs.

etc

Re: [Therion] Help with an error

2019-12-09 Thread Martin Sluka via Therion
There is not a real join "end of a line" to "end of another line" (or point) in
your map. Just two underlying passages.

Command join works in this way: after it reaches end of first line wall in
first scrap it will find the nearest beginning of another line wall from second
scrap and connect them. And in case it is not the correct situation the result
will be a mess. See that yellow line on attached image indicating the biggest
warping (connecting ends of walls) the Therion had to do to join those two
scraps.

One must „construct“ map in Therion. Always to think about how all objects will
be organized, positioned and connected on the final map.

See the links:

1. "Therion for Windows" - this is the main download that you will
probably have used.

2. "Development files: [...] current Therion for Windows." - this is the
one you should try (the one we were discussing today).

Nice one. John was showing a nice method to trace over things, and turn
it into a point symbol, so you can place it where you need. Would work
well with those.

I get the same as Martin. I thought it may break the kml map output but that is
fine as well -with my coords-

I do have a warning but I always this on this particular Win 10 machine. It's a
windows thing I think, I just ignore it.

warning -- can't open cavern log file for input

Re: [Therion] Therion/loch crashes in sid (issue #158)

2019-12-09 Thread Stacho Mudrak
After investigation, I realized that even if OpenGL context is created for
pixmap rendering, printing from loch on my Linux machine actually does not
work.

So I have rearranged the code and disabled rendering to pixmap on Linux
completely. It seems to work using just screen OpenGL buffer for tiled
rendering (for big images).

If anybody is interested in testing, your feedback is welcome.
