Seems to be the case. I upgraded my "shared-mime-database" package recently and this must have introduced this bug. I reported it now, so thanks for your pointers. The x-.. means it is non-standard. Applications can specify mimetypes for a file under the directory /usr/share/mime/packages and also /usr/local/share/mime/packages. For example dcraw (on some systems) installs dcraw.xml which changes the mimetype of all the files it can process to image/x-dcraw. Thunar-thumbnailers changes files it can thumbnail (with dcraw) to image/x-sony-arw and so on... I don't really understand what happens when there is a conflict - I just wish there was a way files could have more than one mimetype. ___ Thunar-dev mailing list Thunar-dev@xfce.org http://foo-projects.org/mailman/listinfo/thunar-dev

[Thunar-dev] HTML documents falsely recognized as application/x-mozilla-bookmarks
Hi. For a few days now Thunar claims that HTML documents are bookmark files with the MIME type application/x-mozilla-bookmarks instead of text/html. How can I fix this? Grepping ~/.local/share for the wrong MIME type yields nothing.
