http://www.tiddlytools.com has a quote plugin.
And http://tiddlyvault.tiddlyspot.com/ is a catalog of plugins you
might want to add to your favorites.

Hi Kelly,

There is no formal how-to guide to d-cubed, aside from the stuff
written in the Getting Started tiddler in the demo you can download

[tw] Question regarding TwT-notes TopMenu

2009-06-10 Thread Måns

Hi TwWizards

I've been tinkering with TwT-notes for a few days.
It seems to work very fine - but I get a peculiar behaviour of the
TopMenu in IE.
Everything right of the find-button is shown twice - in the TopMenu
and in a black bar beneath the TopMenu. (This isn't the case in FF).
Maybe I have broken something?

Have a look at it here: http://el0809.tiddlyspot.com

When I'm saving the TW online, the popup dissapears much to quickly
(one split sec)- and pops up again for about 1 sec - when It has been
saved. Can I somehow make it stay untill the TW's saved?

Yes. If you look in the tiddler ConfigTweaks the very first item is
AutoClearMessageMacro. It is set at 3000 change this to have the
delay as long as you want 1000 is one second.

[tw] Re: Custom style sheet problems

2009-06-10 Thread FND

It sounds like you're using a custom theme. The following instructions
assume a vanilla TiddlyWiki document, since that's the best I can do
without further information.

What's the stylesheet entry for the background color and text color of
the backstage buttons?

Take a look at the StyleSheetColors shadow tiddler* (search for
occurrences of #backstage), which references slices from the ColorPalette.

Is there an easy way to have a gradient in the header or does it take
a plugin?

There's a gradient in the header by default, in the PageTemplate:
div class='header'
macro='gradient vert
ColorPalette::PrimaryLight ColorPalette::PrimaryMid'

Is there an easy way of coloring one sidebar (specifically the
MainMenu)?

Add something like the following to your StyleSheet:
#mainMenu {
background-color: #f00;
}

HTH.

[tw] Tiddlywiki to Mediawiki

2009-06-10 Thread shanny

Hi All,

I am a newbie and have been assigned with a task of uploading a bunch
load of tiddlywikis to the master Mediawiki website.

The idea is to release a particular section of the mediawiki as
tiddlywiki to the field agent and whenever a tiddlywiki is updated,
need to be update to the master mediawiki website.

So basically i need two way conversion -
 from mediawiki to tiddlywiki
and from tiddlywiki to mediawiki

There are a few resources for extracting from mediawiki to tiddlywiki
(namely MediaWikiAdaptorPlugin and MediaWikiFormaterPlugin) which i
found in tiddlyvault.com

I also need the otherwise - from tiddlywiki back to mediawiki.

Could anyone help on this please.

Thanks

[tw] Re: Add an image to the Tiddly-Title?

2009-06-10 Thread Eric Shulman

I'm searching for a hint to insert an image (company logo) into the
title of a tiddly (template).

I could not find any ready-to-use solution like for all problems before.
Is there a solution at all?

http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#TiddlerIconsPlugin
http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#TiddlerIconsPluginConfig

After importing the above tiddlers (and doing a save-and-reload, of
course), add the following macro invocation into the ViewTemplate, so
that icons will be displayed:

span class='title'
span class='floatleft' macro='tiddlerIcons/span
span macro='view title'/span
/span

Next, in TiddlerIconsPluginConfig, add entries for the desired
company logos:

merge(config.macros.tiddlerIcons.map, {
tagvalue: [tooltip,imagefile],
tagvalue: [tooltip,imagefile],
...
tagvalue: [tooltip,imagefile] // note: no comma after last
definition
}

Then, simply tag the relevant tiddler with one or more tags listed in
the map, and those images will be displayed next to that tiddler's
title.

note: PNG images referenced directly from within the plugin code or
contained in the default config can be obtained from:
 http://www.famfamfam.com/lab/icons/silk/

[tw] Re: Listing coauthors (or using fields efficiently)

2009-06-10 Thread Frank11

Hi F,
Here's my example. I've created a few papers. To test a solution,
you'll want to edit New Researcher and then use it (via the
MainMenu) to create files for existing authors (i.e., those listed on
papers, which can be found by going to tiddler paper).

Note that I am not reporting a bug; only my coding incompetence.
Thanks,
Frank

[tw] Re: Custom style sheet problems

It sounds like you're using a custom theme. The following instructions

I haven't imported a theme just fiddled with the colors and a custom

 What's the stylesheet entry for the background color and text color of
 the backstage buttons?

Take a look at the StyleSheetColors shadow tiddler* (search for
occurrences of #backstage), which references slices from the ColorPalette.

Ah, found it. I wasn't being meticulous enough.

 Is there an easy way to have a gradient in the header or does it take
 a plugin?

There's a gradient in the header by default, in the PageTemplate:
      div class='header'
          macro='gradient vert
          ColorPalette::PrimaryLight ColorPalette::PrimaryMid'

Got it.

 Is there an easy way of coloring one sidebar (specifically the
 MainMenu)?

Add something like the following to your StyleSheet:
      #mainMenu {
          background-color: #f00;
      }

Awesome.

Thanks so much. I'm sure I'll back later to ask more.

[tw] Re: Congratulations with TWT-notes Treeview

2009-06-10 Thread wolfgang

How so, Wolfgang. Just by importing theme tiddlers?

Now you can. For debugging purposes I created one systemTheme tiddler
with the most essential of both - MenuMore and Overflow style -
together with the PageTemplate and menu switching buttons themself,
all in one tiddler.

You only need to place the menu buttons where you would want them with
this tiddler section transclusion, which I placed in the SiteSubtitle
tiddler now:

tiddler FlexTheme##Menu

and:

config.options.txtTheme=FlexTheme;

in a systemConfig tagged tiddler to have it applied after a
saveChanges and reload.

Also the 'HowTo' tiddler has been updated to this particular case. All
you need additionally is to create the main menu themself and proceed
as explained in 'HowTo'.

Find the new theme template here:

[tw] Overflow Style - MenuMore hybrid with IE incompatibility ?

2009-06-10 Thread wolfgang

I tried to combine the best of these two themes, which for themself
alone do work with IE at their original sites:

http://cleanlayout.tiddlyspot.com/
http://tinyurl.com/59gpna

But not stripped to their essentials and taken together (tested with
IE 8) - while it works perfectly fine with Firefox here:

http://flextheme.tiddlyspot.com/

Even separating the essential styles of each again doesn't works with
IE.

Two major bugs:

# The max-width of the main menu defined by 'Overflow style'
inadvertently determines the width of tiddler and sidebar display
together and which are placed below the main menu. If the max-width is
removed, both still remain below the main menu, but extent to where
usually the sidebar starts.

# Only the default tiddlers show on startup, and only the second menu
is switched without opening a new tiddler. While menu buttons 3 to 5
don't have any effect at all.

What could be the reason for these major bugs in IE?

[tw] Re: Converting Inline Script?

2009-06-10 Thread wolfgang

HOLY COW!!!

With this fabulous trick by Eric I just reduced QuickEditPackage
(without StyleSheetSortcuts) from 53040 bytes (19 tiddlers) down to
37679 bytes within 2 tiddlers - while only remaining dependent to
StickyPopupPlugin - and having added quite some custom formats!

http://menuflex.tiddlyspot.com/#EditBar%20EditFormat

Or, for example, MiniBrowserPlugin, by using its last inline script
before it was converted, from 16683 bytes down to 8450 bytes:

http://menuflex.tiddlyspot.com/#Browser

As far as I got it till now, EditBar only hasn't got its original
ability to be toggled, and Browser hasn't the abilities added since it
was converted to a Plugin from version 0.0.0.

Eric, is there a good reason for still keeping such Plugins on one
hand dependent to InlineJavascriptPlugin - on the other, why keep them
even dependend to a systemConfig tag at all, as they appear working
almost as well without?
Please feel free to make suggestions, if they aren't sufficiently
changed as variants of your plugins.

And if anyone finds a bug, I would appreciate to be informed.

regards..

[tw] Re: Tiddlywiki to Mediawiki

2009-06-10 Thread FND

There are a few resources for extracting from mediawiki to tiddlywiki
(namely MediaWikiAdaptorPlugin and MediaWikiFormaterPlugin) which i
found in tiddlyvault.com
I also need the otherwise - from tiddlywiki back to mediawiki.

The adaptor/sync mechanism works both ways:
http://tiddlywiki.org/wiki/Synchronization
There should be a list of tiddlers originating from your MediaWiki
instance (that's assuming you've selected Keep these tiddlers linked to
this server when importing), which allows you to push changes to the
server (provided the respective MediaWiki instances is configured to
accept edits via the API).

2009-06-10 Thread FND

http://cleanlayout.tiddlyspot.com/

FWIW, I remember noticing some issues with this in IE a few months ago.
I didn't thoroughly investigate at the time, so it's possible there were
other factors - but I'm not sure anymore whether this technique ever
worked in IE in the first place (I don't care about legacy browsers,
unless I have to).
