um, actually this is not a fix for TagsTree, but a separate plugin which
changes <> to make a menu. I don't know what "Rename Tag"
is, so can't help you there. If this is something that would be useful, I
could make this into a separate macro that would leave the native <>
macro intact.

No, the tiddlers with the "excludeList" tag still show up in the TagsTree

Also this made the "Rename Tag" menu disappear, which I use a lot.

You should be able to "translate" all hardcoded colordefinitions in
the StyleSheet tiddler into ColorPalette slice referrals. Eg:
background: [[ColorPalette::Background]]; etc...

[tw] How can I get the search function to ignore accented foreign words?

2011-05-23 Thread kev
I've got a TW with all my Chinese notes in it but when I want to
search for a particular word I have to add the accent mark - but I
don't usually want to do that.

For example I want to search for mǎi but it is cumbersome to always
have to find the accent on the keyboard. All I need to do is search
for mai (with a space and that will usually be sufficient for my
purposes. If I do search for mai the search engine is so precise I
have to use the accented word. So really I want to do a fuzzy search.
Is it possible?

[tw] Color Theme for TWT-Treeview Executive

2011-05-23 Thread Jonathan
I discovered the TWT-Treeview Executive and find it a very nice
adaptation. Thanks Morris. One major thing about it that I dislike
are the colors. I just find light text on a dark background
uncomfortable to work with. I tried changing the color scheme in the
regular TWT-Treeview, but have not had much luck. Instead of using
the color template, it seems that the colors are hard-coded in the
stylesheets. I tried changing some of these, but did not see any
results. I saw some discussion between Morris and Mans about testing
a new color system and am wondering if that has made any headway. If
not, is there a way to change the color scheme in TWT-Treeview,
regular and Executive?

Thanks

[tw] Re: Hot to move backstage section?

2011-05-23 Thread axs
Here's something to get you started:

1. Put the following in your 'backstage' tiddler. Note that this is pretty
much what you had with some code added. You will need the
InlineJavascriptPlugin* to make this work.

backstage.init();backstage.show();

2. Put the following in a tiddler tagged 'systemConfig':
jQuery('#backstageArea').remove();
jQuery('#backstageButton').remove();
jQuery('#backstage').remove();
jQuery('#backstageCloak').remove();

The plugin you create removes the original backstage. The code at the end of
your tiddler re-instantiates the backstage every time the tiddler is
displayed, and makes the backstage visible. I've added styling to hide the
backstageButton, because it seems like it's not necessary in this type of
scenario.

I tried this out in Safari and it works and looks ok in the default
TiddlyWiki theme. You may have to play with the CSS to make it look like
what you want.

[tw] Hot to move backstage section?

2011-05-23 Thread Sub
The backstage link in teh upper right is placed very bad. I don't need
it very often (actually never yet) and the link gets overlayed by the
#messageArea for saved backups.

I don't want to remove the link via CSS (as discussed before). I want
to move the complete backstage section into an own tiddler.
It doesn't appear in the template tiddlers so I tried adding the html
manually:

No content appears tho.

I would already be happy if I keep teh section where it is and only
move the link into the sidebar menu.

Any idea how to fix this?

HideWhen doesn't use the TWCore evaluated parameter syntax. Instead,
it takes the entire paramString that is passed to the macro handler
and invokes eval(...) directly. Note that, as with eval params, the
<> and <> macros can be used to inject and invoke
arbitrary code embedded within a non-plugin tiddler.

[tw] Re: Simile Timeline - different events per band

2011-05-23 Thread StuG
Tobias,

A Simile timeline can consist of any number of bands. Usually, these
are narrow/broad timescale from the same data source as suggest.

However, I think the timeline is far more useful when multiple event
sources are compared (mashups) within the same time window. See
http://www.simile-widgets.org/timeline/examples/religions/religions.html
for an example.

The tiddlywiki plugin would appear to support these multiple events
can be specified (band0.eventSourceParams, band1.eventSourceParams &
band2.eventSourceParams are processed; also event eventSource is
defined is an array) but the underlying code in the plugin is not
interpreting this correctly for the timeline functions.

Yours,

StuG
