Error: It appears that this TiddlyWiki has been incorrectly saved.

2012-03-28 Thread magnus
Hi!

I've been running MonkeyGTD for ages, and currently use version
3.1.1beta. Suddenly, I am getting the error It appears that this
TiddlyWiki has been incorrectly saved. when opening my MGTD-file
(stored locally). At various places on the page is a tag saying Error
in macro mgtdList. When I click on this a pop-up presents itself,
saying:

Error while executing macro mgtdList: [Exception... Component
returned failure code: 0x80004003 (NS_ERROR_INVALID_POINTER)
[nsIDOMHTMLStyleElement.replaceChild] nsresult: 0x80004003
(NS_ERROR_INVALID_POINTER) location: JS frame ::
file:///home/magnus/Data/GTD/monkeygtd/monkeygtd.html ::
TOP_LEVEL :: line 21561 data: no]

Anyone can help me make sense of and solve this? I'd be very grateful
if I could avoid manually transferring everything to a fresh mgtd-
file

Best,

Magnus

mGSD Enhancements - Empty File does not show right menu

2012-03-28 Thread johnfk
Hi David,
I have been using the Standard mGSD for years now, but your
propositions do look interesting, so I'd like to give it a try. Apart
from the Error in macro tabs appearing in red on the right, I
have another problem: On a newly downloaded file the right menu does
not show up. There is just the history-related subset, no nice
calendar and, what is more, all the GTD-Filters.
Is that just me? Is it on purpose?
I have gotten past that by blind trying some days ago, but I forgot
how.
Greetings,
John

[tw] Re: sort on TiddlerSlice

2012-03-28 Thread Måns
Hi Skye

I have a set of tiddlers that contain information in slices (eg
/%
|parameter1|data1|
|parameter2|data2|
%/

I want to be able to sort these tiddlers according to a slice
parameter someting like...

forEachTiddler where 'tiddler.tags.contains(search_tag)' sortBy
'slice value of parameter1' write '

this obviously does not work..can I use a reasonably simple
javascript expression to sit in the sortBy expression?

This didn't work?:
http://groups.google.com/group/tiddlywiki/browse_thread/thread/f73eeb873c3a5e0/5ec9a76bb9c3b8b1
sortBy 'store.getTiddlerText(tiddler.title+::parameter1,)'

[tw] Re: quote of the day

2012-03-28 Thread Wim
Hi,

I didn't try the cookiejar plugin (yet) as I really want to have a
random-display of the quotes.
BUT...
I found something strange, as all the TW's on the internet that uses
the QOTD, work fine:
When saving those (working TW's) locally, then the QOTD starts every
time with the first quote. Maybe there's a BUG because the random
function does not work when opening a local TW.
And my TW has to be local...

Can Eric S (or someone else) correct this bug?
Thanks.

Wim

Any information stored in cookies can also be stored as data on a per-user
basis within the TW file itself, by using Eric's relevant plugins - search
his site for cookies, one of them is called cookiejar.

I don't see how a different the storage location would change the

and in fact if there is a bug and it's with cookie handling, then maybe
using the local-storage plugin(s) will be a workaround in the meantime.
Note that the no-longer-cookie data can be specified as being global, or
(in your case I'd imagine you'd want it to be) unique per user.

[tw] Re: quote of the day

2012-03-28 Thread PMario
Hi Wim,
Latest TW versions have the possibility to save cookie settings within
the TW file. It's called persistent options [1]. I think for this
usecase you won't need a plugin.

The QOTD [2] info tiddler describes the plugin options. With the
cookie parameter you can specify the name of the cookie you want to
use to store the needed info.

The cookie name for SystemSettings will be:

txtQOTD_ + yourCookieName

so if yourCookieName is eg: index it is:

txtQOTD_index

SystemSettings tiddler should contain

txtQOTD_index: 1

it will be automatically refreshed by the core and saved with your
TW.

have fun!

mGSDEnhanced cleanup, trash and tickler

2012-03-28 Thread Pedro Maia
I've been using mGSDEnhanced for the past couple days and found it great!

I may have found three bugs:

 - When you mark a tickler as done the tickler doesn't go (it's still
blinking at the menu) and I have to delete it before it stops blinking.
 - When I try to delete old tasks (older than 14 days) this msg appear: *No
 tiddlers found tagged with 'Cleanup'*.
 - When I delete a msg it doesn't show at Trash (it doesn't have a Trash
 tag)

I imported all tiddlers from my mGSD to the mGSDEnhanced. It's slow when I
save, but usually is quite fast.

Thanks

Pedro

[tw] Update BasicsPackage

2012-03-28 Thread bbb
Hello,

I am using a TiddlyWiki with the BasicsPackage. Is there a defined or
even easy way to update the plugins belonging to this package?

In general it does not seem easy to find the set of plugins needed for
a certain function. E.g. the QuickEdit plugin consists of many
tiddlers. If I would like to import these from
http://www.tiddlytools.com/#QuickEditPlugin
I would have to select them based on the tag.

But not all packages have such a tag.

Also, the import function does not allow for tag based selection.

How does everybody else do this?

With best regards
Bbb

[tw] FET Results with Table Headers

2012-03-28 Thread James
Hello everyone,
I am a non programmer and have very little skills using TiddlyWiki and
the various Plugins.
I have tried searching for an answer to my question but with no
success.

I have a tiddler that lists a number of books and their authors.
forEachTiddler
where
'tiddler.tags.contains(book)'
sortBy
tiddler.data(author)
ascending

write
 '|+tiddler.data(author)+|+tiddler.title+|\n

I would like to modify this so that it shows a table like so:

|Author|Book Title|
|+tiddler.data(author)+|+tiddler.title+|

Can you please help - It seems so simple but I don't know javascript.

On a similar note, is it possible to automate such a list.
Go thorugh each Tiddler and put each field name in the table header
and the data in the table cells without having to know the data field
names or type the script.

Any help you could give me would be much appreciated.

[tw] Re: FET Results with Table Headers

2012-03-28 Thread Måns
Hi James

I have a tiddler that lists a number of books and their authors.
forEachTiddler
     where
         'tiddler.tags.contains(book)'
     sortBy
         tiddler.data(author)
          ascending

     write
       '|+tiddler.data(author)+|+tiddler.title+|\n

This might do what you want (untested...):

forEachTiddler where 'tiddler.tags.contains(book)'
sortBy
tiddler.data(author)
ascending
write
'|Author|Book Title|h\n||+tiddler.data(author)+|[[+tiddler.title
+]]|\n'

\n (without the quotes) creates linebreaks and the h (without the
quotes) formats the row as a header..
