[tw] slices to slides

2017-01-30 Thread Thomas Elmiger
Good morning Jan,

I didn’t grasp your concept of slides yet, so I will explain mine. The most
TW-like version I can imagine:
– slideshow = story(river)
–– slide = tiddler
––– slide text: place slice in tiddler

Your remote control can allready switch tiddlers, you could find/list them by
tag or field as usual. (So you would not need to call slices here.)

My second and more special concept:
– slideshow = one single tiddler
–– slide = tbd (e.g. a div or a reveal widget)
––– slide text: content of a slide*

* big advantage here: the slides could be generated as a list, like our
footnotes in the footer tiddler at the end of the story. Disadvantage: We would
have to invent a new mechanism to control slide appearance.

What do you think? Can you explain your ideas please?

Have a nice day!
Thomas

[tw] Re: Cardo beta release

2017-01-30 Thread David Szego
Hi all,

I've just uploaded *Cardo* Beta2 to the main site, *http://cardo.wiki
*

Changelog includes much-requested dashboards, ability to track attendance
in meetings (as dGSD did), some nicer layouts, and a number of bug fixes
(including Koertis's above!):

- *1.0β2 (Jan 30 2017):*

   - Fixed: assignment of agenda items to meetings, meetings to projects
   - Added: ability to track attendance of attendees in meetings
   - Fixed: Project status updates now sort by date
   - Fixed: Meeting previews now show up in list tooltip
   - Fixed: New tasks pre-select project when added from Project Tiddler
   - Fixed: New tasks pre-select assignee when added from Person Tiddler
   - Removed: Some now-redundant macros
   - Added: Dashboards, similar to dGSD but not quite so crazy granular
   - Added: "Review" sidebar tab, to separate "New" buttons from dashboards
   - Fixed: Date on Conversation controls
   - Fixed: Assigning Person on a Conversation

Please do give me feedback, issues and requests!

As usual, delete your Cardo plugin, save/reload, and drag over the latest
plugin Tiddler.

Thanks,
David.

There will be something to test soon. ...

The first prototype worked, but was not very usable. With the initial
workflow, there was way too much to type :) ... And since fields are
hidden, it's extremely hard, to find the right tiddlers, to create the TOC
structure. (at least for me :) .. So I needed to think about it. ...

I did create a new button, similar to "New Here" .. There is a "New Child
Here", which automatically adds the parent field, to the new "child"
tiddler. This button will be part of the tiddler toolbar after the plugin
is installed.

There is a second button, which allows us to directly add new child
tiddlers from within the TOC structure. So the whole mechanism should be
usable, after I finished the refactoring and add the components to the
"selective expandable - toc". Which is the biggest part, that's left :)

Yea, ... and there is no documentation yet :)

have fun!
mario

[tw] slices to slides

2017-01-30 Thread Jan

Hi Thomas,
Now I want to use the slices to trigger the slides in a slideshow.
I made a tiddler called
http://slidesnstories.tiddlyspot.com/#Slices%20in%20Focus which so far
displays the slices in the tiddler which currently has the focus.

If you navigate to the SourceTiddler you see this.

<$list variable="tiddler"
filter="""filter='[{$:/HistoryList!!current-tiddler}]'>""">
>

Is there a way to make the list of slices behave like the list widget in
order to create a set of buttons to trigger the slides?
Well at least this was my idea for a mechanism...I beginn to sense this
could be far more difficult than I thought...

Good Night!

Have you tried to change the macro default value from block to inline?

\define slice(tiddler,nr,mode:"inline")
<$macrocall $name="extract" tiddler="""$tiddler$""" start=""
end="" mode="$mode$" class="slice"/>

This should give you the desired behaviour.

[tw] Re: Sticky editortoolbar

2017-01-30 Thread Ton Gerner
Hi again,

What I proposed doesn't work.
But what is wrong with increasing `top` in class `.tc-editor-toolbar` from
20 to 30px?

Cheers,

Ton

[tw] Slices revisited

2017-01-30 Thread Jan

Dear all,
I would like to shed some light on a macro Thomas made in the beginning
of january and that might not have appeared on your radar because it was
only in the depth of a thread...
It brings back "slices" a feature of TWC which some desperately missed
on TW5.

http://tid.li/tw5/numbers.html#%24%3A%2F_telmiger%2Fslice

tested and demonstrated here:

http://slidesnstories.tiddlyspot.com/#%24%3A%2Fplugins%2FJR%2FMultiMenu%2FTools:%5B%5BSlides%20and%20Slices%5D%5D%20SourceTiddler%20%24%3A%2F_telmiger%2Fslice%20%24%3A%2F_telmiger%2Fextract

Thanks a lot for this Thomas...

One question: The plugin is set to display slices in block-mode by
default. So far, I did not manage to show slices in a text inline. I
would like the macro to be set to "inline" by default, because block is
easily done with return or| |outside the macro.

(More questions on extract and slice will follow, because it will be an
important element of my slideshow mechanism.
This is also why I all style or mode settings in the macro will be used
for the slides and so it is better not to use them for slicing in
textparts.)

Best wishes Jan

[tw] Re: Sticky editortoolbar

2017-01-30 Thread Ton Gerner
Hi Jan,

A long time ago I placed the edit control buttons above the title of the
tiddler by adding a to $:/core/ui/ViewTemplate/title. For more
information see my guide Customization of TW5
 > Examples > Place toolbar above title.
Maybe that's a possibility.

Cheers,

Ton

[tw] Sticky editortoolbar

2017-01-30 Thread Jan

Hi all,
After I discovered that TW5 holds the possibility to make the Titlebar
sticky to the top of the browser-window,
I asked myself whether the editortoolbar could be made sticky too. (As
shown below: Yes, it can)

My question now is how to shift up the tiddlercontrols by 15px compared
to normal in order to prevent it from being hidden by the editortoolbar.
Below you see my attempt which makes the Editortoolbar sticky but does
not shift up the Tiddlercontrols...
alternatively it could also be an Idea to show the editortoolbar only
when hovering over the title.

Thanks for helping
Jan

[tw] Re: sync-browser error with node.js version.

2017-01-30 Thread MidGe
UPDATE

I deleted the wiki from node,js by deleting all related files (wiki's and
node's).

After re-creating a new wiki, the problem did not recur!

Unfortunately that means that I will not be able to get to the bottom of
what happened!
