It's usually better to use http://tiddlywiki.com/upgrade.html, which does upgrade all the plugins in the core plugin library. http://tiddlywiki.com/#Upgrading Best wishes Jeremy. > >1. > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "TiddlyWiki" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to tiddlywiki+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com. > To post to this group, send email to tiddlywiki@googlegroups.com. > Visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/tiddlywiki. > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout. > -- Jeremy Ruston mailto:jeremy.rus...@gmail.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group. This is default reagular behavior I think. I believe you were expecting to see your original tiddlywiki file automatically updated in place, but that's not how it works, instead a new tiddlywiki file is generated with the updated version you can then proceed to save. You can overwrite the original file for the intended behavior of replacing the old one, but ideally save it with a new name, so that if for some reason the update process goes wrong you don't risk loosing any information, or worse end up with an unbootable tiddlywki file. I always do it like this: 1. Download the new empty TW5 2. Open it in a browser window 3. Drop the previous version onto it 4. After import and cleanup save the new version -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group. I also have a problem with 5.1.7, in that my create journal button no longer works. [tw] Re: Hic trying to upgrade to 5.1.7
That is what has always happened for me. It isn't an in-place upgrade, it gives you an upgraded version of the input file instead of replacing the input file. That is unless you overwrite the original with the new download. That or it has been broken for me every time I have used it. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
