[tw] Re: Workflow: save current set of tiddlers?
Underscore (this one is proposed on Adopt a Titles Policy, or any other character that suits you), is in my opinion good for personal use, because you may want to easily find your own system tiddlers at the top of the list. What I tried to say is that $:/tb/ui/MoreSideBar/Stories (so without the underscore nor the plugins, only the publisher info) may be good for system tiddlers that you propose to drag and drop to other users. I agree that some best practices for these different cases may be useful :) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. love the new icons in TB5, especially the TiddlyCat for the core Thx, I also like those visual tidbits :) Might be more in the future with font-awesom, although surely trying to avoid overload. But for the solution tags they'd sure be nice. Best wishes, Tobias. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. Re: [tw] Re: Workflow: save current set of tiddlers?
Really interesting work (saving stories from Metabele and TB5 from Tobias). I should search for a dedicated TB5 post, but I have a remark: you shouldn't prefix non-core system tiddler with $:/core/ui/foo (now that I've understand what this foo word is, I can use it instead of ... or xxx :-P ), it is confusing about the source of the tiddler. I usually use $:/_ui/foo for my personal wikis, but here you could do something similar as what is recommended for plugins and replace core with publisher. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups TiddlyWiki group. Hi Evolena, I should search for a dedicated TB5 post, but I have a remark: you shouldn't prefix non-core system tiddler with $:/core/ui/foo (now that I've understand what this foo word is, I can use it instead of ... or xxx :-P ), it is confusing about the source of the tiddler. I usually use $:/_ui/foo for my personal wikis, but here you could do something similar as what is recommended for plugins and replace core with publisher. I understand, and it's sure just as much a learning process for me. ^^ I do sympathize with the underscore approach, although it looks hacky. Not only does it put the user generated stuff up top, but it also makes sure we're never mingling with what could at some point be core stuff. So, I guess I will waddle through all that and update my under-the-hood-component names accordingly. But, before I do that, I think it would be wise to actually specify on TiddlyWiki.com, how users are to best put stuff under *$:/*, because we sure can and so we will, and also we should... but with a meaningful approach. I guess it might even be necessary to use namespacing, eg. a rudinmentary *$:/_tb/foo*, e.g. *$:/_tb/ui/foo*, *$:/_tb/templates/foo*. Other approaches might be... *$://tb/* — will probably conflict with italics as there is no external link vodoo for system links *$:/.tb/* — my eye prefers this over... *$:/_tb/* — the user-system-hack I definitely prefer this over having things scattered like... *$:/plugins/tobibeer/foo/bar/baz* Although, I will sure respect that pattern for actual plugins, but the solutions I just use in my wiki or even suggest others to use. If, at some point, there are clashes, well... then we'd surely need more than mere naming conventions but also component-meta-data to distinguish component origins, for one. Just a note: I will soon present a concept that deals with exactly this problem as well as at least one other IMO very important problem with the current behaviour of TW. Tabs? Like in tabbing -- a way of displaying tiddlers inside of tabs similar to your browser. See TabsMacro at tiddlywiki.com. I'm guessing he has a neat way of turning your current story into tabs. But I have a problem with Will's site -- no matter how small I shrink the screen, I can't get to the search bar on the right (assuming there is one). The search bar keep moving off to the right. The TOC doesn't reference Tabbing Stories, and I can't get to the search bar, so if anyone has an actual link to tabbing stories it would be helpful Mark On Sunday, November 30, 2014 8:29:03 AM UTC-8, Tobias Beer wrote: Did you see http://gwiz.tiddlyspot.com tab Stories? [tw] Re: Workflow: save current set of tiddlers?
That does look neat. The 3rd part (with tags) wants the makelist widget. When I try to drag/drop the plugin, I get one of those This is embarrassing messages with error el.className is undefined. If I try to define my own plugin, when I select application/json I get a tiddler with the message Undefined widget 'edit-json ' I'm on v 5.1.2. Looking at version 5.1.5,, I see that the editor is generated, but not the 3 fields (description, type, etc) I would also expect. I guess the first two parts are more important anyways. Looks very handy. Mark On Saturday, November 29, 2014 11:13:40 PM UTC-8, AlexHough wrote: I have some tiddlers open, they reflect a state of play in my thinking.
